Hi all.
I'm new to the term 'grab bag'... so I'm hoping you can fill me in as to what exactly it means.
Is it a collection of samples? Randomly selected travel sizes? Or what?!
Do you get to ask for particular products to be included?
I'd be glad to know what some of you have received in your grab bags.
I'm intrigued!

LOL!
The day after I'd already made my usual big order, I saw these in the Free Gifts section and, out of pure, irresisible curiosity, immediately made another order!
I chose the Rodial one. I'd been hoping to try some of their Brazillian Tan or the Tummy Tuck.
I imagined that a grab bag would be a little pack of mixed sachets, but it's actually more like a lucky dip. EDS randomly choose a full-sized product from the range for you.
Unfortunately, I didn't end up with either Brazillian Tan or Tummy Tuck, but was still delighted to receive the body moisturiser. It was also a lovely surprise to end up with a full-sized item, which I hadn't been expecting at all.
I'd definitely say it's worth taking a chance. Plus you have the fun and anticipation of waiting to see what arrives. |

I just got my order, but when I ordered I picked the random gift. However, EDS suggests jotting down some product lines that you like etc...in the comments section of your order. So I jotted some down and one of them was Ole Henriksen, and low and behold, I got an Ole Henriksen product (and not the sample size, it was a reg. size)....It is wonderful! You should probably jot down 5-6 product lines that you like, but it doesn't guarantee you will get them... It's if they have it as a free gift or such..I think I was lucky and I'm thrilled!!! Good luck and happy shopping to all! |

I also had no idea what “grab bag” meant, and imagined it was a selection of sample sizes from a particular line.
Anyway I added the Kimberley Sayer grab bag thingie to my order a couple of weeks back and was very happy to receive a full size KS Ultra Light Facial Moisturiser |

I chose the Suki grab bag and got a Suki lip balm. The balm is pretty awful, so I'm a bit disappointed. However, I've been very lucky in the past with free random gifts from EDS so I am definitely not complaining. I have found some of my favorite products through the free gifts and samples. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes not. |

Sorry Chan, our bad As you know that we got a little mixed up with your toner. The box said a good expiry date but the expiry on the bottle was different. We do not open boxes therefore we did not have a chance to discover it before it ended up in your hands.
What happened is that we already shipped replacement package with a toner with longer expiry date.
In regards to our "grab-bags" they are not a sample products. They are retail sized products and often even bigger professional sizes. |

Last time I ordered it was Suki grab bag and I got a full size Suki toner that was great. Just now I had a Priori grab bag and I received the PRIORI CoffeeBerry Brightening Facial Complex so I'm really happy. Priori is not something I'm going to repurchase, way too expensive, but it'll be fun to try it. I was really surprised to get a moisturizer, I really assumed I would get a cleanser or something like that for the free gift. |

I guess it's a gift bag with a few of their well known products in trial sizes? |

Stardustdy~
Everyone is raving because they are regular size products from the whichever grab bag line!!!
It's kind of like they pick a product randomly from say Suki, and send you a full size bottle...
If you read what everyone's saying..that's what's the best part. For example, I ordered the random gift, but I commented that I like Ole Henriksen, Dermalogica, Dr. Brandt etc..., and my last order they sent me a reg. size Ole Henriksen Express the Truth creme!!! |

The free gift offers come and go. I think it's because currently there's a 25% sale on natural products, so it would be too much to also have a free gift offer. |

Ok, so I ordered on Wed. morning or the same day the sale started, and the free gifts were still available at that point. I'm thinking they ran out because, I'm sure the probably had many orders from the start of the sale to now. I was luckily able to get a free gift w/my purchase...I don't know what it will be, but it will be a surprise nonetheless...I think if you want the free gifts, you really have to jump on them when you order your products...But sometimes there are no free gifts...It's always good to get something free, but the EDS samples they send w/the orders are great too!!! I'm not complaining...Hope that clarified some questions |

Sending a full-size product as a gift is great and one reason why EDS stands above every other online store I can't wait to order a grab bag next time. |

A bit off topic as it’s not actually a grab bag .. but I received another order from EDS yesterday (taking advantage of the recent 25% natural discount), and got 5 dermalogica samples PLUS a free full size Cargo Daily 30 Lip Gloss, the ones in the bubble packs, like pills. I’m thinking maybe EDS sent it as I had ordered another Cargo lip product which turned out to be not available at the time. How nice is that? I can’t imagine any other online retailer throwing in another product from the same line for free, just because what I ordered wasn’t in stock.
Thank you EDS! |
