Has anyone had this procedure done? If so, do you recommend it? How much did it cost? |

My older sister recently went in for a Lifestyle Lift. She also had minor lipo done with it. The total cost was something like $3800. She's only in her 40s but her skin is really a disaster - very bad sun damage and she never was happy with the contour of her neck and chin. She's delighted with the result BUT when she went in for her consult, they gave her this line about how it's a one hour procedure and that people are back at work within a few days. THAT is just crap. She was miserable and lived on percocet for 3 or 4 days and she really tends to be a trooper in general. After that she looked like a chipmunk on steroids for about 2 weeks. All in all, from what I understand about general recovery times from procedures like this, that isn't really so bad, BUT their advertising is very misleading in this one regard. |

It is pretty pricy for an hours work; and, there's no hospital or annestesia involved, just a local in the area where the cuts are made. $3,800 and hour is pretty ridiculous. |

Plroweny,
If you think that $3,800 is a high price for the procedure, you don't know much about cosmetic dermatology / plastic surgery.
First of all, this isn't a minor procedure. It involves cutting skin, muscle, and fat extraction and can only be performed by a skilled plastic surgeon.
It is an outpatient procedure, but today, almost everything is. I don't know about your region, but here in Maryland, EVERYTHING - not just cosmetic procedures, but most medical procedures, are done on an outpatient basis.
The procedure can be performed with lidocaine alone, but many women opt for a valium sedative as well.
But, a ridiculous price? Not when a full face thermage procedure costs $2500! |

Is there a forum somewhere on here for the Lifestyle Lift that anyone knows of? I have read good and bad on other forums and can't decide. |
