| So when I gave a box of these to both my mother and sister this past Christmas as stocking stuffers, they kind of looked at me funny and wondered "what on earth are these -- and why?" Why? Because individually wrapped Q-tips (cotton swabs) lightly soaked in olive oil are *genius*! These are the best on-the-go makeup removers: when my eye makeup starts to have its almost inevitable mid-afternoon meltdown, I just open one up, use one end of the cotton swab to remove my raccoon attempt under each eye, and go on my way. They're also great for morning mess-ups or to get off that last little bit of residue the cleanser didn't catch right under the eye. I also think it's extra brilliant that the package opens from the middle, which means that I only have to use half of the swab at a time when I'm at home -- the unused side stays covered in plastic and doesn't dry out before I need it again. Admittedly, these are a bit of an environmental vice because they're individually wrapped, but I figure we're each allowed at least one... And there's no preservatives; just olive oil. The swabs aren't terrible wet, just damp enough to quickly wipe away the makeup without leaving an oily residue. And $4 for a box of 50!
