Has anyone tried Benefits Shelac? I've bought some in the hope that it will make my mascara waterproof but am worried it will dry really hard and make my eyelashes fall off!! I take eye make up off with jojoba oil which removes anything so it should get it off ok. Any one tried it? |

sorry for the late reply, but yes, i have tried this, and am not a great fan. when put over eyeliner, it's fine, but over eyeshadow... let's just say, it was worse with the she-laq than without. i think your're better off investing in waterproof mascara. |

I wanted to try this for ages but the reviews on MUA put me off... I'm a bit of a clutz so I decided I was more likely to be in the camp of people who had no luck with it. |

I am not really a big fan of Benefit, I think the packaging is nice and this is the main thing which sells the product but the actual products themself are very sub standard. |

I've tried this before and it's ok over eyeliner(can get a bit hard if you put too much). I wouldn't use it over mascara or eyeshadow, though. It definitely takes on a sheen like actual shellaque(sp??). As for making your mascara waterproof, have you tried Urban Decay's Lingerie and Galoshes--it's a double sided wand that comes with a primer on one side and a waterproof sealent on the other side for your mascara. |
