Few days back I just asked to advice for skin repair if one is doing regular peel throgh AHA/BHA or Vitamin A. Lot of people suggested Vitamin B and Niacin for that purpose. I searched on eds product list and found good review for Cellex-C Hydra 5 B-Complex. I am planning to buy this but before going for this just wanted to know is there anything better than this that has other beneficial ingredients in addition with hyaluronic acid and B complex for skin healing purpose.
I am 30 yr old with sensitive acne prone skin.
And I am using adapline gel (kind of Vitamin A) which is making my skin peel, dry and itchy. For that I want to use good light moisturizer that wont clog my pore plus provide healing process also. Cellex-C Hydra 5 B-Complex sound really good to me. Do you think I should go for it or is there anything better than this?
Thanks so much for your help in advance... |

I really don't like the B5 gels that Cellex-c and Skinceuticals makes, or any sort of HA gel, they do not absorb and just sit on the skin, in fact it worsens dehydration/dryness for me. In fact I tend to avoid products which have HA unless there are many other beneficial actives.
I would recommend some gentle humectants like glycerine, plant sugars (which also have a mild exfoliation effect).
You can try mixing a small % of active manuka honey in distilled water, that will keep the skin hydrated and honey is a natural but gentle exfoliant and anti microbial.
I have used Beaute de Kose's moisture engage and Moisture Repair serums, they are water based with a little alcohol, but plump my skin very well.
If your skin is irritated from the adapline, try some calming products that contain green tea. I am using Topix Replenix Green Tea serum before applying Differin and always as the first product after a toner. Topix Replenix contains HA but does not leave a film like the B5 gels. |

I really like Cellex's (and skinceuticals) B5 HA serums. You must use moisturizer with it though, it will not add moisture when used alone. |

I love the Cellex-C Hydra B5 gel. I find that one drop is enough for my entire face. I still use a moisturizer on top of it. |

I also really liked the Cellex-C Hydra B5 Gel when I used it on top of a vitamin C serum a couple of years ago. |

Thanks all for your reply. I am feeling that I should give it try. What strike me is its catchy phrase 'Wound healing' capacity for which I want to try..cos m feeling wounded by ex-foliation from adaplene..
Miranets..I appreciate your response..but at moment i am not looking for any more exfoliation effect cos adaplene is giving me sufficient ex foliation..I want something that can repair my outer layer of skin..I like the idea of Topix Replenix Green Tea serum..I will do more research on it.
Thanks so much all you for your advice... |

I've been using the B5 gel on the C serum for over a year now and love it. One drop is all it takes and I find it absorbs right in. |

i agree with the vin b and hyaluronic acid complex always just sit on the surface of skin.
the skin will be smooth after applying but actually it works for nothing.
i don't like this kind of products
regards mildly moistrising effect , i recommend cosme decorate liposome moist serum.

I really like Cellex c Hydra b5 but I don't consider it healing. It does not add any moisture to your skin so you still need to use a moisturizer. |
