Hi all!
I used to buy Dr Renaud's tweezers and they are the best ones on the face of this earth. I have one left and guard it with my life. I would really like to buy some more. Anyone out there know where I can buy them? I did not see them on the web site. The name on the tweezers is "nooent France" .
Thanks! |

"Made in France", but this is a Canadian company. We'll have to see if they're still available, asking our local rep. |

I really like my slanted Tweezermans. How are these ones different or better? |

Me too! These are GRRRRRREAT! They're reasonably priced, precise, and you can have them send them into their factory to have them re-sharpened, for free! |

There seems to be some confusion about the Canadian and the French versions of Laboratoire Dr. Renaud- Let me offer some clarifications.
In 1947, Laboratoire Dr. Renaud was born in France, and in 1960, the Canadian branch evolved. The reasoning was that results were superior when the product was adapted to the climate.
The bad news is that Canadian women do not have acces to those tweezers that are worth "guarding with one's life" (unless you can have them shipped by a French estetician who carries the Dr. Renaud line).
The good news is that Canadian women have access to an amazing skin care line of products that is developed by a Canadian woman (yes, our scientific director is one of us).
Hope this helps,
Martyne Lacoste

If you are in a rush and pull really fast without positioning them with the hair properly, this does happen. But if you tweeze with a little more precision, this can be easily avoided and you'll fall in love with the tweezermans! |

I don't really tweeze my eyebrows (I have them threaded every three weeks). I do occasionally get stray ones in between threadings which I yank out.
I love my slant Tweezerman, many years old and going strong! I also have the really fine version but I find this one can sometimes cut a hair instead of tweak it out. |

I really loved my Tweezerman slanted tweezers. I had always wanted to buy one and when I finally did buy it I got it taken away buy the security guys at the Sydney Airport. It was still brand new and I only got to use it once! I can't get them here so I guess I'll have to order from EDS. |

I didn't even know there was such a product. I have such a problem with these on my legs!
I saw Tweezerman products in Linens n' Things. I didn't bother to look at the price, tho... I wasn't shopping for me. But there's always coupons in the mail for that place. I might get one. |

I think I have these tweezers - they are long, stainless steel and DEADLY pointed and sharp! Got them to tweeze out the tiny little regrowths from my eyebrows. I was with my professional makeup artist friend when I bought them and she said they were WAY too dangerous to use near the eye and that I'd chicken out and not get any use out of them. Weeelllll, never one back down from a challenge, I used them a couple times and almost put out an eye! They have been safely resting in the back of my medicine cabinet ever since.
Those things should come with a warning! |

mermaidgirl, those are indeed very 'DEADLY'. They are very similar to some of the surgical tools I use in labs, and the thought of using them on myself was very very scary ![](images/smiles/119.gif) |

I have a pair of slanted tweezermans that I love, but they don't seem to grip as well as they used to these days (they are very old though). I know in the States you can send them back for sharpening if that happens, does anyone in the UK know of somewhere that does this? |

Fifi you can actually send them back to the US to be sharpened, they have a worldwide sharpening service. Mind you, once you've paid the shipping it might be the same price to buy a new pair.
I've been recommended the pointed ones, apparently they tweeze out even the tiniest hairs but they look so dangerous, Sharvata (eyebrow specialist in London), recommends the pointed ones but I haven't got the nerve. You know sometimes when you accidently catch a bit of skin when tweezing, imagine doing that with the pointed ones, you could bleed to death!! Ouch! |

Yeah, I think it may be time for a new pair of tweezers, although I'll miss my old faithfuls. |

I use and adore my Rubis tweezer as well especially the slanted/pointed tip one. Hands down one of the best I've owned. Able to pluck the finest, shortest hair even. And I've been using the same one for 2 years without it getting blunt. Total love. |

I have been using the mini-tweezerman but it just isn't hacking it.
For those who have the Rubis where did you purchase it from? |
