Hello Everyone!

I'm not sure if I've just purchased something that will have absolutely no effect on me or if I am just being premature. I've purchased a package through ebay that contains cleanser, toner, exfoderm, skin protection, eye cream, and action.

In the mornings I use the cleanser, toner, exfoderm, and the skin protection. In the evening, just the cleanser and toner. It's actually only been two days but I thought I would have felt the dryness or at least a tingling feeling by now, but nothing.

Am I messing something? I have some freckles that I wanted to lighten so I didn't think I would need the other Obagi products.

Thanks for the help!

Hi luckylady,
It appears that you are missing 3 very crucial components to the system.

Clear
Blender
Retin-A

You will not achieve any results without these. Sorry, but it looks like you will need to spend a bit more money Sad

Thanks so much for your comment back. I'll look into getting these additional products.

One more question. I was looking on the obagi site and I didn't see in the protocol when retin-A is suppose to be used. Exactly what is that? Smile thanks!

"Blender" of Obagi is designed to be mixed with Retin-A. You could buy Retin-A at drug store.

You have to get a prescription from your doctor to get the Tretinoin which can be in any brands like Retin-A, Stieva-a or other brand names.

You need an Rx to buy it in the US, but most of us just buy internationally from Medsmex.com or alldaychemist.com and circumvent the need for the Rx.

You use the Retin A mixed with the blender the last step in the evening. Here is the protocol for obagi:
AM:
Cleanse, tone, 1/2 gram of Clear, 1/2 gram of Exfoderm, sunscreen

PM: Cleanse, tone, 1/2 gram of Clear, then blend in the palm of your hand 1/2 gram of Blender with 1/2-1 gram of Retin A.

No moisturizer, nothing else added, except you may use a topical C serum in the morning. You would add that after the toner, before the Clear.

This is so helpful. Thank you very much. I'll start this schedule as soon as I get the rest of the products. Y'all are awesome!!

I had pigmentation and some small scars from pimples but didn't want to use the full Obagi system. I have now been using Obagi Blender each night for 2 months followed by PSF Retinol Nite Repair. A combination I came up with on my own. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. My face is clear and all traces of pigmentation/ scarring have gone.

luckylady, you can measure using the letters that spell out OBAGI on the bottles. From the O to the I is 1 gram, 1/2 gram would be from the O to the A. Another way to measure is using your joints on your pinky finger. From the tip of your pinky finger to the first bend/joint, that is 1/2 gram. From the tip of the pinky finger to the 2nd bend/joint is 1 gram. HTH! Good luck.

Luchylady, I used all obagi protocol except Retin A. Obagi Nuderm system doesn't work effectively without Retin A. But I got a lot of help from this Forum especailly Rileygirl, now my skin got better...it seems like working for me.

Also the exact right amount is very important.. Just follow the "Rileygirl's instruction" Good luck..

Thanks for the info. I actually haven't really "started". I've been using everything except the blender and retin a. I remember a dr prescribing it to me but left it at home before I moved out of state. So I'm waiting on my sister to mail it to me.

Once its here though, I was planning on Rileygirl's instructions. Seems simple enough for a lazy person like me. Razz

hehehe, I'm back! I've received my tretinoin yesterday!~ So up to this day I've been using everything minus the tretinoin. Let me say... nothing happened!

Last night was the first night I used the protcol that rileygirl posted. 1/2 gram blender and tretinoin, and I'm noticing a change already!! Yipee~ Not that I have beautiful skin...yet, but I'm glad something is happening. hehe
