I have poured over material regarding marionette lines, which I recently noticed and now I'm obsessed.
I am 40, had a baby 7 months ago at 39(which contributed I discovered) and I swear they seemed to occur almost overnight.
I take care of my skin, vit. c- eluage- sunscreen with high spf daily.
Has anyone found anything or combo of things that has improved this area..........TIA |

Your lines might not be permanent and might not be due to aging since you are still pretty young. I am in my late 40's but I had my children very late in my early 40's. The stress of taking care of babies with not getting enough sleep and pregnancy takes a toll on the skin. I started getting these types of lines just this year since I am so close to menopause! But to answer your question most people who have very distinct marionette lines end up getting some type of filler! |

Facial excercises might help...I think everyone uses Flex Effect? |

I have botox in my lower jaw muscles to keep from clenching my teeth and it helps with the lines as well (don't need much at all). It keeps the corners from turning down when you are in a relaxed position and not aware. Then between peels for the lines and little bit of filler I haven't had them for several years. Best preventative as well. |

thanks...I'm throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them
my face has many flaws but this has been the thing that has bothered me most
read about botox possibly used for this, never had it but I'm not opposed to it...everytime I wear makeup even with primer it gets a little cakey ....my friends who have had nose jobs, boob jobs etc...called ME vain because this bothers me |

If all else fails, go for the fillers. I have been using Juvederm Ultra Plus, and it has actually caused new collagen to generate...I have had to use less and less each time, which is great!
Here is an article that talks about the same results with Restylane. I have used them both, and FAR prefer the Juvederm.

thanks bethany, I'm determined to at least improve them and would consider fillers as my first foray into procedures, everyone seems to be doing it now.. |
