I received the travel size bottle of Decleor Cleansing Water as a forum gift. I'm very glad I got to try it, but it's not a product I'm likely to repurchase.
To be fair, let me preface this review by noting that I have pretty resistant skin and this product is targeted toward the sensitive types. I gave it a mild thumbs up for several reasons:
1. It removes my makeup, as it's intended to do.
2. I found an unexpected use for it
3. It's very likely that others would benefit from it more than I.
The packaging could use some improvement, but keep in mind I'm reviewing the travel size, not full size. Hopefully the full-size product is more sensibly dispensed. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with an open cap. It would be much better if the cap design were changed so it doesn't pour into your hands so easily. The first few times I used it, wound up pouring out a lot more than I needed.
The smell alone may make it worthwhile to use this; it's heavenly, fresh and clean.
Since this product is designed to remove makeup and be rinse free, I tried using this in my first step of the PM routine. While it did a fairly effective job of gently removing my makeup, my jojoba oil is even more effective and less expensive to boot.
This is supposed to be a no-rinse product, but it still left a film on my skin that I couldn't stand, so I followed up using my regular cleanser. I have to do this anyway after removing makeup, so I've come to expect that I should follow up with a cleanser, but since this product is advertised to be a no-rinse cleanser....
Then I tried this on a weekend, to see if I could avoid the somewhat tacky finish if I DIDN'T have to remove any makeup. No go, it still left a slight film on my skin and I had to rinse it off with water. Granted, for ladies with sensitive/dry skin, this may be beneficial, just not for me.
One of the unexpected uses I found for this was when I inadvertently left my pumpkin mask on for too long. After rinsing it off, skin was very irritated, red and neck was just a bit flaky. I splashed this on and obtained an immediate cooling effect which was definitely needed! I'll take this poolside or beach along with sunblock and aloe vera gel, definitely!
Hmmm, just writing this review, I may have talked myself into a repurchase after all!

I've also added this into my order as the forum gift, but have not yet received it.
What is your skin type?
I have combo acne prone skin and I dont know whether to actually try this out if it left a film on your face...
Do you use this as a normal cleanser or do you need a cotton wool/pad for it? |

Thanks for your helpful review. For me, the scent of a product is so important- it's like that extra little oomph I need, especially at the end of a long day or the start of a hectic one! |

CFC, no doubt if I hadn't received this as a free forum gift I wouldn't have had the opportunity to try and review this, big thumbs up for EDS!
As far as the "mild thumbs up"... not a trademarked phrase you're more than welcome to use it! As a matter of fact, I'm looking forward to using a cute term I learned about here on EDS in everyday conversation myself; once I can figure out how to work in "bunfight" |

YY, I have oily skin and have to maintain constant vigilance against the products that would cause my pores and cause acne breakouts [haven't had any of these in a year thankfully!]
I don't see myself using this as a normal cleanser, but something that would be much more suitable for dryer skintypes. BTW, after removing makeup I use a facial brush to work my regular cleanser in.
I WILL keep it onhand to next time I overdo a treatment like my last pumpkin peel, because it seemed to help even better than aloe vera and witch hazel!
HTH,

That's great!
I dont think I'll use this as part of my regime, but I'll keep it for when my face needs a bit of relief from my peels!
Thanks athena |

I've got this too with my order. It don't need water to rise it off. I try on cleansing with water. It makes my skin very dry. The second time I use without water I just clean with cotton pad. It can clean my skin face very clear and doesn't have any irritation occur. Good product for sensitive skin like mine. |

I realize that this product is advertised as a cleansing agent but ever since I received it, I've been using it as a toner...I know... weird huh? But I have to say that I REALLY REALLY love this product and here's the reason why.
It was a gift from a friend of mine and at first, I was sketchy about it. I mean, the packaging looks so simple, nothing special, and I didn't really like that whole herbal smell. But it was a gift and she kept on asking for my opinion of the product, so I decided to just somehow incorporate the darn product into my regime. I didn't use it as a cleansing agent bc I wasn't convinced by its whole "cleansing" ability so I only poured it on after washing my face (followed by my regular treatments and cream)and I DID NOT RINSE THE PRODUCT OFF!! After about 6 months of use, I can honestly say that it has helped my tremendously in coping with breakouts...something I never expected!! I have combination skin with a very very oily t-zone and my breakouts are usually due to this very reason (OIL) or stress or spicy food (LOVE SPICY FOOD! ). I use to get ALOT and I honestly mean ALOT of cystic breakouts or huge swellings on my face. I felt that my face was always inflamed and nothing kept those ?&!*&$? down...it was literally a daily battle! But ever since I incorporated this cleansing water into my regime, my face miraculously calmed down. I even tried not using it for a while but as soon as my face started breaking out, I slapped the product back on and instantly, the next day, those inflammations and breakouts lessened in severity and eventually disappeared. Very very odd! But hey, if it works, that's good enuf for me! But I think the key is NOT to rinse the product off! |

I wouldn't use it in the sun because of these ingredients...
CITRUS AURANTIUM AMARA (BITTER ORANGE) NEROLI OIL, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA (LAVENDER) OIL |

i dont think the product is actually a proper cleansing agent on its on.....sure you can use it first to take of makeup slightly.....but you need to use another cleanser on top ...for example the cream cleanser or something like that to take off makeup and everything |
