Does anyone know where I can find body butters or lotions that are made from or at least has a large quantity of avocado oil or avocado butter?
I've been using handmade avocado soap from a local online vendor but he hasn't been too receptive about my new product recommendations.
I found that once I stopped using my avocado soap and switched to an almond oil based body butter, the KP on my arms have come back!
Your help is appreciated! |

You can just buy pure avocado oil, from places like garden of wisdom and nature's gift.
The moisturizing balm from 100% pure should be good for you. The first ingredient is avocado butter. I like this product a lot, I use it on my face (but I haven't been using it in the summer) and I usually don't say this, but with this product a little does go a long way.
Ingredients: Organic Butters of Avocado, Shea and Almond, 15% Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), 15% Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Organic Blackcurrant Oil, Organic Cabernet Grapeseed Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Organic Green Tea, Rosemary Extract, Organic Lavender Essential Oil

I also like their body creams, and avocdo butter is usually one of the ingredients. The body creams are really light, especially in comparison the the balm. |

Ooo! Exactly what I was looking for...
But would the balm be too heavy or greasy?
I thought about just buying avocado oil but I never liked the feeling of just using oil and I'm afraid it's greasy. |

avocado butter is just avocado oil either hydrogenated or mixed with another hydrogenated oil
so you're better off with just the oil.. |

It is basically a butter, but I think it's a good product. if you're worried about greasyness, then also get a body cream- those are super light. You can try using them in combination if one is too heavy and the other is too light. You can apply a light layer of the balm, and then the body cream after that. the balm has no particular scent so you don't have to worry about matching scents. Even though it's called "body cream" they're ok to use on the face too.
And uh, as long as you're ordering from 100% pure (and you want to get the 50$ free shipping minimum), think about getting their caffeine eye cream, it's one of my favorite products.

Maybe you could try adding avocado oil to a body lotion you already have and like? I often add oils to body lotions, although I haven't tried it with avocado. Although lately I tend to just use the oils straight. |
