I bought the bio-oil from SDM because I heard it would cure the acne scar. But when i tried it, I found it was too oily to use on face. then I tried to use the bio-oil on my hand. I got burn on hand when I was cooking 1 year before. After few days, I found the scar is getting smaller and brighter. |

Good to know, thanks. It is a great price...I was debating if it would really work. |

I sure wouldn't be using this product. Apparently its derived from ducks, with other ingredients mixed in such as mineral oil. Not that theres anything wrong with mineral oil. |

I just pulled up this thread and wondered what Susie-Q meant about Bio Oil being derived from ducks????
Has anyone else heard this claim?
My 18month old son has a burn mark on his head (from spaghetti sauce) and I'm now trying everything to help clear it. |

It IS'NT derived from ducks! The delivery system of Bio Oil is based on Purcellin oil which is a LAB RECREATION of the preen oil produced by ducks!
Personally I found it to be a good non irritating oil - I use it on some dermatitis I get its one of the few things that didn't sting or make it flare up more.
Its not expensive so worth a try but you have to use it consistently for at least 3 months. |

I've heard mixed reviews on Bio-oil, but OP did make me decide to give it a try - for burn scar. |

I'm glad you had luck with Bio Oil. It does seem to be hit or miss. I tried it and had no luck. |
