Has anyone used the new mineral liquid makeup, and which ones did you like? Looking for a sheer one, still not to the point where I can go without yet! Smile

I use Illuminare liquid MMU and just love it. You can order samples from their website. They don't have a huge colour selection, but I sometimes think that too many choices just makes it too confusing Very Happy

I tried illuminare when I was first getting into mineral makeup. I think there were 3 different types at that time (in various shades) and they all resulted in oily/shiny skin for me by the end of the work day. I currently use Jane Iredale powders, but JI also has liquid mineral makeup. I would love to try that soon, if I could just figure out where to start as far as a color match (vs. what I wear in the JI line in the powders).

Raesin Images makes a liquid version, though I haven't tried it yet.

They are having 20% off right now, but not on samples. Sad

JI has a odd clor match for the liquid the powder/loose does not match the liquid color. I have a bottle its ok nothing great. I used this summer Fusion Skin Liquid foundation. Its sheer either Light/Med or Med/Dark comes out like bird pooo (blue) then blends into your skin has god things in it and worked out nicely. If I have something to hide then this is not the one. I can;t use anything with Bismuth. Tried Youngblood to greasy.

NCN's Firming Liquid Minerals is very good - so is their Mineral Sheer Tint tinted moisturiser. Both are easy to apply, no fuss foundatiions and give a beautiful finnish.

I love illuminare. I use it in the sheerest coverage of the three and it does not change color on me at all throughout the

I quite like the Lumiere one.

I tried illuminaire and I found it too heavy, but it was great as a concealer.

Actually I find it easier to mix mmu in powder form, with a moisturiser... I mix it a couple of weeks worth up at a time so it is always fresh.

My favorite liquid mineral makeup by far is the one from NCN pro skincare. At first, it's a little off-putting to see Nanci only offers 4 shades, but they're extremely forgiving and even if the limited shade range doesn't match skintones perfectly, it'll all blend out and look completely natural. The ingredients are quite lovely, I really do think it's an extension of skincare. A light dusting of silk powder to set it in place and you're done! Also makes a great base for eyeshadow, but be careful not to use too much! It has a tendency to ball up on you.

Cons: YOu must apply it quickly, in small sections with a brush for the best finish. It dries quickly.
I moved to an area where it gets much more hot --- mineral makeup does NOT stay on in the heat, if you sweat a lot. I had to switch to a conventional makeup for the summer. Just another reason to look forward to the cool temps of fall! A return to my mineral makeup and a return to better fashion! Smile

Hi slyv, here's a link to the website. NCN Firming Liquid Minerals..

http://www.ncnproskincare.com/skin-care-products/minerals/mineral-makeup.html

The coverage is very sheer, which is really my own preference but if you need additional coverage, let the first light layer dry before applying the next. Be sure the layers are thin, start off with a pearl size amount and add a little more if needed.

Hope this helps,

athena

Mad Minerals has one and its sheer. I find most mineral liquid is rather sheer from what I have read.

Hi Sakura, if you compare the ingredients between Mad Minerals and NCN Pro skincare, they're exactly the same! But Mad Minerals will charge you more for a lesser amount.

I asked Nanci about this and she figured both her and Mad Minerals obtain their liquid mineral makeup from the same distributor.

It was a mistake, sorry. It was not Everyday Minerals, they don't have a liquid foundation.
