Hi.
I'm new to DIY skin care and I have some questions before I start making any "potions".
I want to make a C+E+Selinium formula using fat soluable C in an oil base.
Could I add CoQ10, Lycopene, ALA to this? Any or all?
What would the suggested percentages be for the ingredient to oil ratio?
I also want to try a kinetin + niacinamide formula.
Could I use aloe vera gel as a base?
Could I add DMAE, Beta Glucan to it? Either or both?
What would be the suggested percentages to H2O, or Aloe Gel be?
Does anyone know of a good source for kinetin?
Thanks for any help!

I'm not going to be terribly much help - but I do know that you can add CoQ10 to oil - I add it to Emu Oil. I purchase 0.6g from Skin Actives and its enough to make 4oz of cream or lotion at a percentage of 0.5%. Oil soluble Vit C can be used at .5 to 7% - I use 24 drops to 1oz Pomegranate oil (forget how I arrived at this calculation).
In fact, I suggest you take a look atwww.skinactives.com because there's allot of info for DIYers plus they tell you what is oil or water soluble and what percentages should be used. Also, you could email them, I've found them very helpful in the past. HTH. |

Thank you.
I put this same question on the skin actives forum as well. I'm going through past posts trying to see what goes with what, and what does NOT. It's slow going, which is why I hope someone who is knowledgable can help.
I really need to find out what %'s are best so I don't overdo, or under-do.
Thanks again. |
