This may seem like a strange request, but I am in search of a product that I can put on my face that will both protect it from outside elements and not clog my pores/cause breakouts.
I have extremely acne-prone and oily skin and I work three days a week at our family-owned restaurant. Being in an environment filled with heat, grease, and steam really does a number on my skin. I wear a minimum of makeup to work (liquid foundation, sometimes pressed powder), and I cleanse immediately after I get home, but I am there for nine-ten hours each day.
Does anybody know of a product that could help or have any suggestions for what I can do to lessen the effects of this environment  Finding a different line of work isn't an option because I love what I do, and I love working with my family

Tina,
The only thing that comes to my mind is Dermalogica Barrier Repair. That's purely from remembering the description of it in the Dermalogica catalogue. However, having not used this product in the past I don't know how it holds up in hot/greasy environments. This is the description of it on EDS:
"A unique anhydrous (waterless) moisturiser with protective organic silicones and Anti-Ozonate Complex to melt gently into sensitised skin, helping to repair damage and shield skin from enviromental agression." |
