I was looking up heavy water cos I was tempted by the JI mist to bring my total up for free P&P and I came across this site. Think I may have to get the molecular mist and the sample bag. Any one else got this stuff or heard about it? |

That site is blinding me with science!
I think the sample bag for $40 is definately the best way to try all the stuff out though. You going to part with your pennies for it?
My boyfriend has a physics degree and I asked him about heavy water. He seemed to think there may be some truth in it (although his knowledge on skincare is 0% and so he couldn't really tell if heavy water would be good for the skin or not). He also said that any products containing heavy water are likely to be fairly pricey as it is very costly to make/extract or whatever they do with the stuff (my eyes were glazing over a bit by this point of the discussion on it). The price didn't seem too bad to me though. Well, not if it works. If it does no more than normal water then it is scandalous!
If you do purchase the sample bag I will be looking forward to your reviews. |

I noticed that you can make your own sample bags up as well, so I may do that! I looked at their press clippings and this line was created for men! Can you believe it? What a waste of lovely stuff |

How do you find these amazing websites? I'm so impressed. Can't resist this one. Putting the samples together is making me giddy.
I've heard of drinking(very pricy) the "heavy water" but not using on my skin. I've been using the Ester's Secret and not needing any more moisturizer. But I don't think I can resist this sampler opportunity. The prices are way too low to pass up. Too many new things I just have to try. That's a real brain overload with all that technical info. WOW!! |

Breaking his hand to get your mitts on his Visa card does not constitute being 'VERY nice'! |

Perhaps I need to try that tactic. My boyfriend chastises me whenever I spend more money on beauty products, clothes etc. Very annoying considering it's my money!
It's not just skincare tips you can pick up from this website, boyfriend taming tips too!
It'll be interesting to see if all this new-fangled scientific skincare works. Or whether the science stuff was added so that men (who the line was orignally created for) were more likely to buy it. They love gadgets/gizmos and are probably more likely to be swayed by something which has a technical explanation behind it. |

Hey there. I'm new the forum-- I've been lurking for a while-- there is so much information!! But I didn't have anything to add, until now.
I love the sircuit stuff. In particular, the face wash, X-Trap. The scrub is amazing too. My face was sensitive with their vitamin C serum, and they were great about it-- gave me some advice about how to use it, and when I still didn't like it, I sent it back and they gave me a full credit. (Okay, it isn't a refund, but I love so many of their products, I really don't care.) The heavy water stuff is nice, and I was using it as a moisturizer this summer, when it was humid and I didn't want anything more. All of the things smell amazing-- the pumpkin mask and the spf 15 moisturizer in particular.
My skin feels incredible, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of the pimples on my chin, though. I didn't care for their X-Zit stuff. (They sent me a sample.) I didn't think it worked... then I tried Tea Tree oil, and then tea tree oil and witch hazel, which I think created the cystic stuff I'm battling off now, and now I'm trying Nucelle Madelic Acid, which I'm liking, even though it has only been a week.
I'm leaning toward the Yonka Juvenil, which I've seen a lot of reviews of here. Maybe someone has another idea? I'm 35 and currently have pimples AND forehead wrinkles. It seems like you should have just one or the other!!
Anyway, the sircuit stuff is great-- I can tell people about most of the products because I went a little wild with it at the beginning of the year. |

Welcome brooklynmom! You sound like a gal after my heart!
I was tempted by the x-trap, but I'm sooooo stocked up on boots cleansing balm that I dare not buy more cleanser...tho I could get some for guapaboy and use that I'm glad you found the water stuff moisturising...I have fairly dry skin and I want to use it as a mist over my BE. I ordered samples of skin addict and OMG (hopefully that's what I'll be saying!) Have you tried them?
Can't help on zit front, though I am getting (I hope) a sample of the Yonka for mini-me to try. She is having some success at the mo with purple emu though. I expect she will prefer the most expensive one and then sulk when she gets the cheapest tho |

It is very tempting and I just might have to give in and go for the sampler. This site is an awesome wealth of information but it is going to really get me in deep trouble with hubby lol.

I did try both the OMG and the serum-- I used the OMG all up, and did like it, but I didn't order more. The other one... I still have some, so I guess it didn't do as much for me? Or maybe I was trying not to use EVERYTHING on my face all at once? It's all rather a dim memory: I have a 3 year old, and my brain is a sieve.
I think I would have ordered the OMG, but there were so many other things I wanted more...
Not to change the topic, but my daughter tickled my forehead tonight and said, "It's just like a notebook, Mommy!" So I guess maybe it is time to do something about the parallel lines on my forehead. What do people think? Alpha Derma or Relax-a-Line. I'm leaning toward the Alpha Derma, because I like the no holds barred guarantee, but I'm open to suggestions. |

brooklynmom, there is a poll thread about the merits of the various agiriline products, Me, I like relaxaline, but as Ian, ADCEs CEO, explained, people want different things from their creams.
Re OMG and skin addict, when I get mine I'll try and refresh your memory! |

I love that logic, Melba! Aren't we all suckers for a good deal? I know I am, but my Hubby just doesn't seem to understand when I explain how much money I "saved" him with that purchase.

I don't know girls...., but this paragraph on a site discussing heavy water gave me cause for concern.
"Despite the fact the light water and heavy water are chemically identical, heavy water is mildly toxic. How can this be? Since heavy water is heavier than normal water, the speed of chemical reactions involving it is altered somewhat, as is the strength of some types of bonds it forms. This affects certain cellular processes, notably mitosis, or cell division, due to the difference in binding energy in the hydrogen bonds needed to make certain proteins. Mouse studies have shown that drinking only heavy water along with normal feed eventually causes degeneration of tissues that need to replenish themselves frequently, and leads to cumulative damage from injuries that don't heal as quickly. One study likens the effects to those suffered by chemotherapy patients. Heavy water toxicity manifests itself when about 50% of the water in the body has been replaced by D2O. Prolonged heavy water consumption can cause death."
Now, I'm sure that the amount of heavy water in this preparation is probably minimal, but, not sure I'd want to put it on my skin daily.
Besides, since heavy water has some interactions in nuclear reactors, if you start to order a lot of it, Homeland Security is liable to be knocking on your door.

Judy,
I think the reference is really being made to something like Penta Water. You can look this up onwww.pentawater.com. I've never used it-too expensive. Celebrities have been using it and causing it to make news.
How this can be used topically for skin is something new. Whether it works

Oh, yeh. Penta Water is somewhat like the Alka-Mine minerals I've put in my water every day for the last 8 years. They're not that expensive though.
Now, a very cool thing that most people don't know about water molecules.... if they have the proper natural minerals, a molecule under the microscope looks like the most awesome perfect snowflake you've ever seen!
I have some pictures of a water molecule that has been chlorinated and it's just a blob, but if you put these marine minerals in that same water, it changes the molecular structure of the chlorine so that it's not bad for your body and the molecule changes into that perfect snowflake pattern.
Kinda mind-blowing!
I know Janson-Beckett has a mineral prep product that they recommend using before some of their products. When I saw that on their site, I began using a liquid mineral preparation I have before I use the lifting masque and it made a LOT of difference.
I used to use that same mineral preparation instead of a toner on my face, but for some reason I began using a toner from another company. Recently I ran out of it and went back to the mineral water and I could be imagining it, but my hyperpigmentation spots seem to be getting lighter. Again, I'm not sure of that; going to keep an eye on it for a while. |
