Hi all,
I had my fourth dermapen treatment this week. I felt the results were starting to show and was excited to carry on with my skincare routine. At the start of the session, my therapist drilled me on the products I use, then drilled me on where i purchased them. Had i realised 'online' was a swear word, I would not have used it! I told her I use AM: Vivier Serum 5% on eyes, Dr Dennis Gross Triple C Peptide Firming Oil on rest of face and neck, La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF50+ all over; PM: Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum, Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Fortifying Neck Emulsion, Dr Dennis Gross Hydra-Pure Firming Serum on rest of face. I was told the vit C in all of these products cannot be at those percentages, as I could not purchase them online. Also, the retinol in my PM routine was insufficient to have any effect, as I bought all online. Basically, I was told that the money and time I had spent having dermapen would be pointless unless I bought products through a salon. I left without making a purchase! I had done a lot of research before using any of these products. I have used Dr D Gross products for almost two months and I am unsure if the vit C peptide serum is as effective as Vivier 20% vit C. However, if none of these products have sufficient/effective/stable concentrations, maybe I should buy in a salon. Advice from the well-informed forum users would be greatly appreciated. Happy weekend from Ireland!

I have used prescription Retin-A for almost 20 years and have very been happy with the results. I started using Glycolic Acid a few weeks later along with SPF. At 47, I only started to get mild lines on my forehead 2-3 years ago. I would start begin with a prescription Retin-A Micro (I purchase from Canada Pharmacy for only $120) and use GlyDerm Cream 12%. I have used Vit C on and off but plan to incorporate it and Vit E into my regime. Also, SPF is paramount. I hope this helps.

I haven't used the products you specify in particular but they generally have a good reputation.
I do know some Spa's may have a tendency to manipulate, shame and bully people into believing that their products are the only game in town so that people will feel they must purchase their products and only their products.

Vit C serums can be unstable but there are plenty of companies that have conquered this and some people even DIY to insure its freshness.
Unless that Spa is whipping everything up on a person to person basis there's no need to believe that their products are the only alternative to good skin care.
They just tend to cost more and go in their own pockets..

I use the Vit C cream/serum from Neostrata- the drugstore one is in these airtight capsules you open before use.

The 10% one always works for me.
I also found out that the Exuviance and Alriya? brand Vitamin C capsules are the exact same thing.
They are all made by the same company and they told me the difference is where they are sold.

Neostrata is at the drugstore, Alriya is from cosmetic DR and Exuviance I saw in the US mostly online-like at Dermstore.

The Neostrata vitamin C is in a package of 30 and the Alriya is a package of 50-that is the only difference.

I did not think most of the vitamin C serums I tried worked as well for me.
I've tried tons of samples and Neostrata works best for me.
