This is a fragrance free, pale pink colored lip treatment in stick form. The directions say to apply it twice a day, AM and PM.

I have been using this product for only two weeks, but I like it so much that I saw no reason for not writing a review already.

As the product is gel-based, it leaves my lips smooth and well moisturized without the usual waxy feeling I get from most lip balms. In stead of waxes, this lip treatment contains petrolatum, plant oils, silicons, glycerin, cocoa butter, shea butter etc, along with vitamin E, various plant extracts and a whole lot of ingredients I have never heard about. Those who prefer natural, organic lip products should probably stay away from this one.

Clinique Repairwear is a lip treatment, hence it does not contain shimmer, but it gives a somewhat wet/shiny look that enhances the natural pink color of the lips.

What I like most about this product, is that it eliminates all flakiness and dryness, and it stays put for many hours. If I apply it after breakfast, I can still feel the product on my lips after having eaten lunch.

I have been using several lip creams and a lot of different wax-based organic lip balms throughout the years, but this is by far the best in terms of transforming dry, flaky lips into smooth, moisturized lips. That's all I can ask for. If it also gives my lips antioxidant protection, as claimed by the manufacturer, I am very happy.

Thanks for the review. I was considering Clinique's tinted superbalm based on the good reviews on mua but maybe I should try this repairwear before I decide which to buy... Laughing

in comparison to lips2kiss how would you rate this product? will this product be making your lips worse long term or what? Confused

The Lips2Kiss system did nothing for me although I used is as directed for three months. I see no reason why Clinique Repairwear intensive lip treatment should make the lips worse...? I hope for the opposite! The important thing for me, is to keep dryness and flakiness away and give the lips some antioxidant protection to prevent signs of aging.

i dont know im just all confused about using things on the lips....ever since i read about the info on lips on the lips2kiss website.....the reason why your lips get more thinner and upper lip area more lined.......so when i say worser i mean in worse in terms of that long term.

like the one mentioned on this thread is it giving lips proper moisture and hydrating it well or is it similar to waxes etc where it looks like its hydrating but not really

The philosophy behind Lips2Kiss is based on one woman's view. If you believe she's right and you get good results from the Lips2Kiss system, that's fine.

Just keep in mind that 99 per cent of all lip balms on the market are based on either petrolatum or waxes. Personally, I find that many of the wax based lip products are drying, and think I prefer ingredients like shea butter, petrolatum, oils etc.

If a product feels hydrating and moisturizing, doesn't cause dryness and makes your lips look good, I don't think you need to worry about long term dehydrating effects.

Personally, I'm skeptical that use of lipstick and lip balm is what causes lips to thin and become lined as people age. Otherwise most old men would have fabulous lips (and, if my local old men are any indication, it isn't true. Laughing

) That doesn't mean that the lips2kiss program does or doesn't work--I haven't tried it and can't say. Only that I don't think that the lip problems we tend to have as we age are caused by use or non-use of lip products. I think it's part of the overall loss of collagen that we see more generally elsewhere on the face as we age. Just my non-scientific but empirically based opinion...

hehe ok that makes sense now........me personally i dont really use any lipstick or lip balms....lipstick i only use if there is some special occasion that im going out for and lip balms only if im very very desperate during the day. one thing im quite addicted to it is using pretrolium on my lips before i sleep.....haha otherwise it will keep me awake....i mean unless i feel my lips hydrated with that petrolium i just cant rest....i feel like somethings missing Confused
