or does it require any particular actives? I know many peoples necks seem to look aged, more so than their faces. I am young still, so will just basic moisturizing help maintain my neck skin? or should I look into certain ingredients? thanks |

LOL @ Keliu!
IMO the products you use on your face should be used on your neck too. Using vitamin C serums, retinoids and sunscreen should all help. Keep in mind that nothing short of surgery will keep everything from sagging eventually (and even with surgery you'd have to have it done periodically). |

I have always wondered about ageing and weight lifting ... the necks and bodies look awesome in sixties and seventies that do weight lifting, even in 'old' age... the face doesn't seem to match in some cases,... maybe some resistance facial muscle/facial exercise help??? |

Hi, there, this is my first post! Our necks age, and some do horrible things like get very lax and loose. Usually the skin on the neck is thinner than the face, which can also make it look worse. There isn't much you can do to prevent the aging, but you can use moisturizer and sunblock just like on your face. |

A Big Welcome to scjudyb
Yes, I use my face products on my neck as well.
But as our neck skin is thinner so I am looking for some product especially for neck care.
There are not much neck products in the market. I heard that it's because the cosmestic company know so well that neck problems are difficult to get rid of...so they can invent an effective neck care products so far...
I am looking for some effective neck mask... |

I'm afraid you would be wasting your money on specialized neck treatments. There is no cream,or lotion that will firm the neck. Short of plastic surgery, there is nothing. |

Isn't that the truth !!!
I do find that SkinBiology's CPs is improving my decolletage. Some of my lines have completely disappeared and the others aren't as deep as they were. It went from being all over my chest to only certain areas.
I use DMAE first and then apply the CPs after approximately 10mins. I used the Super GHK Cream once, every 2nd day to start. I worked my way up to once a day and have recently started using Skin Signals as well. I often use it AM and PM, but not every day. It depends on my mood. I love KH products, so I use the VAK creams on my chest as well. |

I've just had Platelet Rich Plasma injections in my neck - but it takes weeks to start to see results, and I'll probably need more than one treatment. You can find out about it here:

Hi Katy,
I'm not exactly sure, but I think approximately 6 weeks. It was weird when I started to see progress. I noticed that there were spots on my chest that looked fine - almost like little circles of good skin, within the damaged areas. I think the skin with the least amount of damage repaired itself more quickly, whereas the more damaged spots are still coming. I have seen improvement overall though. I notice it most in the morning. It was in the morning when I would see the most pronounced lines; it is nowhere near as bad as it was and there are spots that aren't damaged at all. |

I'm afraid so Katy. Products MAY APPEAR to give you firm skin, but once its washed off, the effect is over. I think you would be better off just applying sunscreen all over the neck area to prevent further sun damage. Yes. Even in the winter. |

On the back of my hand I mix 1/2 Life Flo's Estriol-care cream(iherb.com for $11) and neutrogenasVisibly Firm night cream(discontinued but u can still buy on ebay and amazon for around 20.I apply to my neck and the leftover I rub into the backs of my hands. I have been doing this for about 6 weeks.I am 56 and I have seen an improvemnt both in my neck and the backs of my hands, I was surprised I had results! I think there is some cp's in the Neutrogena. The combo seems to work somehow.... |

Keliu, let us know how that platelet treatment works for you. I thought I knew a lot about plastic surgery etc... but you seem to know more than I do! |

does anyone know or tried massaging the neck to increase thickness? This would help with the firmness wouldnt it?
wondering whether it would be worth incorporating into my facial massage routine |

I do use the Vaculifter and I think that definitely helps. My neck is extremely sun damaged though. |

Have you tried any neck firming creams with Matrixyl 3000? I've found them to help hide wrinkles and conceal fine lines. Nothing will get rid of "turkey neck" other than surgery, but if you are looking for more firm, tighter skin, I've had success in that area. |

Manual massage and using the Vaculifter really helps me too. In fact, anything you can think of that would bring increased blood flow to problem areas, is always a help.
I also agree with what Keliu said above, that "nothing stays firm" .. But we can sure do things to slow the dreaded aging clock to a crawl. |

I haven't Geneva. I don't like firming products on my neck. It feels like being saran wrapped, don't like the feeling. Everything is just temporary at best. I think its more important to keep skin hydrated and moist. Skin just LOOKS better this way and even this is temporary. |

Thanks for the reminder! I always forget/being too lazy to apply suncream on my neck but just on my face. How careless I am! |

I agree 100%, I've often wondered how bodybuilders miss their facial muscles in their training - as it does make sense that facial muscles would benefit as much as those of the body.
