When i was at the spa, my estician told me to use a diaper rash cream called sudocrem that you can buy at any drug store in the baby isle and apply that to my face as a night treatment, and in the morning my face will be smooth and it helps with break outs. Has anybody ever tried this? I am going to the grocery store later on today to buy a tub of sudocrem, it's inexpensive ($8 CDN) and i will keep you guys posted on this... |

I haven't tried this but one friend told me she used baby wipe to remove makeup and it worked well. Maybe baby stuff is really good, especially for sensitive skin... |

I also heard about baby cream as a protective and moisturizing treatment, but I never tried it.
Please, let us know if it worked for you. |

I have used diaper rash cream as spot treatment for blemishes. Its been a long though so I don't remember which brand I used. I don't think I'd apply it my entire face though as it could be too occlusive depending on the formula.
Also one thing to keep in mind is that most diaper rash creams on contain lanolin which can cause breakouts. |

I'm not familiar with this particular diaper rash cream so don't know what the ingredients are. However, I do know that many diaper rash creams are zinc based - and zinc is very helpful for breakouts. |

Theres a couple of pages of reviews on acne.org about Sudocrem and a few months back I went out and bought myself a small tub to spot treat (never all over my face). I can only ever use the sudocrem at night cos it leaves a white film on the face and the next morning, the pimple is less red but I dont see it healing any faster than normally. Also, it might just be me, but I've found that once the pimple has healed, the surrounding area breaks out.
But as I;ve not tried it long enough to say for certain that its the sudocrem thats causing the additional breakouts
The ingredients are:
Zinc oxide 15.25% w/w • Benzyl alcohol 0.39% w/w • Lanolin anhydrous hypoallergenic 4% w/w • Benzyl benzoate 1.01% w/w • Benzyl cinnamate 0.15% w/w. Purified Water • Liquid Paraffin • Paraffin Wax • Beeswax • Microcrystalline wax • Sodium Benzoate • Linalyl Acetate • Propylene Glycol • Citric Acid • Butylated Hydroxyanisole • Sorbitan Sesquioleate • Lavender Fragrance |

My son had baby acne as a child. It was exacerbated by milk that trickled on his face when he was feeding. I did use diaper ointment for his face and it worked well. His pediatrician didn't say anything bad about it. I suppose if it's okay for baby, it can't harm an adult. |

I had that recommended to me before also. However, I tried it (not the brand mention above) and it didn't work for me. |
