Hi everyone!
I bought the BQ about a month ago but have only used it a few times because every time I've used it, the next morning I wake up with ridiculous acne and I NEVER get acne! I'm not even using it on the aggressive continuous wave mode, just the normal 2min/4min routine that the book recommends. I've washed my face and then left my skin bare for the BQ because my main goal is firming.
Is it possible the BQ could be giving me acne or are the pimples that come up something that should be brought to the surface, which the BQ is helping to happen?
Please, anyone, I'd appreciate your thoughts! Thanks. |

When you say acne, do you mean * spam * pimples? The LEDs should really be helping to kill any bacteria on the skin. But perhaps the warmth of the light is upsetting your skin somehow (although I don't think the Baby Q gives out much heat). It could definitely be that the light is bringing impurities to the surface of the skin. What are you putting on the skin afterwards?
My only suggestion would be to make absolutely certain that it is the device that is causing the acne. Stop using the light and let your skin completely recover. If, on using it again, you continue to breakout I would contact Advanced Therapies and see what they recommend. Hope some of the other members can be of more help. |

I realize Keliu's post is a year old but I just started using my baby quasar and am breaking out too. Almost as soon as the treatment is finished, a pimple appears! I'm hoping that perhaps my skin is purging itself of bacteria as a result of the light and will soon regulate itself. If not, I will contact quasar customer service.
Has anyone else had this experience?? |

| For anyone else who experiences acne with use of Baby Quasar, I did speak with Alex of Quasar and he reassured me that this is a normal occurence and the acne should clear up in a short time. |
