Hydra Cool is meant to be used as a moisturizer over the other serums. Polyvitamin is a serum with active ingredients (AHAs) although it can be hydrating so could be used as a moisturizer by the right person. The biggest difference is that hyra cool does not contain actives. |

I've used both of poly-vitamnin and hydra cool. I think the hydra cool is a better product overall. I remember reading that the poly-vitamin was good for smokers. I am a smoker and I think anything with a lot of vitamin C in it works the best, so I use the Pro-heal serum from ISclinical - it's saved my skin! |

Yes- Hydra is to be used over the Poly-vitamin and any other serum. It helps the serums "sink" in. I've tried poly but it contains niacin which makes my skin flush so I stick to the Super and Proheal, followed by Hydracool, which I love. |

carforum, here are the two ingredient listings for comparison's sake:
Poly-Vitamin Serum
Ingredients: water, 40% hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), 4% glycolic acid (sugar cane extract), zinc sulfate, 1% pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), 0.5% niacinamide (Vitamin B3), 0.5% alpha tocopherol (Vitamin E), 0.5% retinol (Vitamin A), lysine, glutamine, 1% lactic acid (bilberry extract), green tea extract, phenoxyethanol
Hydra-Cool Serum
Ingredients: water, 25% hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), propylene glycol, 5.5% pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), 1% asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid (centella asiatica), kojic acid (mushroom extract), menthol, methylene blue (basic blue 9), phenoxyethanol
The Poly-Vitamin Serum is actually one of my favourites. Aside from being recommended for smoker's skin, ISC also recommends it for compromised skin, to treat excema and as part of their Cancer Care Patient Protocol.
Poly-Vitamin is an active serum that comes with some temporary prickling and hot flushing on application. In contrast, Hydra-Cool is soothing and hydrating and can be used several times a day. |
