I would like to know how many of u just apply serum only at night without moisturizer? Is it necessary? I guess u only apply moisturizer if the serum is not hydrating enough, right? Thanks! |

In my case I apply moisturizer in the AM and serum in the PM. I add a little eye cream after the serum soaks in. I have combination skin so I don't need moisturizer twice a day. I also don't want to smother my skin! This works for me. |

I apply moisturizer in the morning and at night I apply serum and moisturizer. My skin is sensitive and during a winter very dry and only serum at night is not enough for me. In the summer I apply only serum at night. |

I always think the serum would absorb easily and can improve the skin condition. So,I always use serum AM and PM.Even though,I always use two or three kinds of serum. After serum, the moisturizer is necessary. It can keep the effect of serum. |

Thats right stardusty. I apply a bit heavier in the winter or you can use a richer moisturizer if you need it. |

I like an antioxidant serum in the morning. I think serum is great at any time though. Especially if your skin is oily and you dont want a thick moisturizer. |

I think it really depends on what kind of serum you use. I use a hydro serum both am and pm now since it is winter now. |

I agree the answer would depend on your skin conditon and which serum you are using. I don't think using a moisturizer is definitely necessary. I recall reading several articles pointing out we are now putting too much on our face! |

I agree - it depends on the state of your skin. For example - at the moment i apply a nourishing serum in the morning, with or without a cream over it. While at night, i sometimes skip any moisturizer, and other times i use a more nourishing cream/balm. You can adapt your skin regimen to your needs at the moment. |

I'm thinking of using the PSF Berry Beneficial Serum. I heard that's hydrating enough? So I guess I'll just use it on its own.
I'm always confused as to serum applying. Is it better than moisturizer as it contains more antioxidants? |

There're both the same. Its personal preference really. |

I prefer to use the serum at night, because it gives my skin a slight sticky/tacky feeling I rather not have all morning. When I use it at night it's fully absorbed by the time I wake up. I also feel like the serum is more concentrated than the moisturizer and I would like it to absorb as much as possible. I think it will have a better chance when my skin is fully cleansed and at rest. |

Well, it depends what kind of Serum you are talking about?
I use a Vit. C Serum in the morning followed with a moisturizing serum (Hyaluronic Acid Serum: SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel).
At night, I use an AHA Serum (alpha hydroxy acid exfoliator). |

It's the PSF Berry Beneficial Serum I'm planning to use. It says it can be used around the eyes too? ...
So if a serum can be used around the eyes, what's the purpose of an eye cream then? |

I think it depends on what the serum is for exactly. I'm attempting to use C serums again and only apply in the AM.
As far as moisturizers go I only apply as needed. I tend to be on the dry side but will skip a night if I feel like my skin does not need it. |

Va serum is recommended to be used only at night. Other serums can be used both in the AM and PM. |

The skin under my eyes need extra moisture so that's the only reason I use an eye cream after the serum. My eye cream also has vitamin K to fight dreaded dark circles under my eyes. |

I use it upto the weather like. I have an oily skin. If the weather is hot, I always use only sunscreen and use serum only in PM. |

Just like what you said,I apply serum only at night without moisturizer. In the daytime I use the moisturizer without the serum. That means I usually apply one of them, not both. |

I apply serum at night without a moisturizer because I have combination skin and don't need the moisturizer at night. My skin tends to be quite oily when I wake up. |
