Part two of this question is, "and how will you stick with it?"
Mine is to have unwrinkled arms and less transparent skin on the back of my hands. (This means I have to thicken my skin). I intend to use the Baby Quasar or LightStim every night and carry on with my creams and have bought myself the perfect LBD (sleeveless) to wear next Christmas. |

Mine is to have more even skin tone in general. To this end I am already using Innoxa Enlighten Concetrated Serum which contains Lumiskin, Matrixyl 3000, Vitamin E and a stable Vitamin C. I have also made an antioxidant spray consisting of pomegranate, green tea, beta glucan, milk thistle, pine bark, rosemary and msm in a base of witch hazel and rosewater which I am using twice a day. As I don't tolerate strong acids or exfoliants, I am going to speed up the process by using a mask of yoghurt and lemon twice a week, after a deep cleanse and vigorous facial massage. I've also purchased two dermarollers and will use the .5mm once daily after cleansing and before products, and the 1mm twice a week after the mask.
Mainly my resolve is to stick to this routine, which is already improving the texture and colour of my skin, instead of getting slack and not using the products, or getting bored and changing them. |

LL that sounds like a very impressive routine. The antioxidant spray is amazing! Did you put that together from personal formulation (DIY) products? |

How did you decide the frequencies for using the dermarollers? |

Mine is to continue to lose weight and get really fit and toned.
I just started with retin A again and I want to keep it up. At some point I want to add in vitamin C as well.
Oh and remember to take my vitamins |

I want to make sure that no matter how busy I am, I don't fall off the skincare bandwagon again like I did this year... That means steaming my face and doing masks on a regular basis (at least once a week), doing my usual skincare routine morning and evening, and also using a body moisturiser every day. I have no idea how I'm going to go about this since I know that when I do get really stressed out and I'm low on sleep, skincare is what goes out the window.
In other new year's resolutions 1) be better at paying off my mortgage (that starts on 01/01/09 so I have a few days of shopping to do ) 2) get through a 15 day detox program (early in January) and continue to eat well thereafter (I'm forcing myself to buy only healthy things lately) and 3) get fit (I just joined the gym). |

Mabsy (and others) although you likely know this already, please be sure to increase your water intake if you are detoxing. I wound up in emerge with heart palpitations as my detoxing had affected my electrolyte balance (not enough fluids in and too many out). Hmm...detoxing sounds like a good idea so I'll add that for mid January! |

Here are mine (copied from another thread):

1) I resolve to stick with the brand that my skin seems to really love (ZO Skin Health) and not fall prey to trying the "next big thing" every time it rolls around.
2) I also resolve to continue my Agless exercises faithfully every week so that I can avoid spending so much darn money on Botox and fillers.
|
As for how I will stick with it....
1) I started the 2009 Weightloss Support Thread so that I can post frequently, and stay motivated and accountable. I also made an appointment with my doctor who is very focused on weight, and will guide me nutritionally.
2) I'm afraid that the economic downturn is probably the best bet to keep me focused on these exercises...I won't have to spend $$$ on Botox or fillers. Plus, should I get laid off, the better I look, the more likely I am to get a job (sad, but true!). |

Beauty resolutions for 2009:
exercise 5 days/week
facial exercises daily
take vitamins daily
use my juicer 3 days a week
eat non-acneic foods daily
figure out a really really good program/products for my skincare routine... so it is not dry on top but still oily and congested (which is what all of the sudden I feel like it is and why I've re-surfaced my interest in EDS out of the blue), but not get sucked into every rave out there.
Not necessarily in that order. If I can do it though, I'll be looking pretty good in 2010!
Seems simple but when work gets busy the first thing to go is juicing, exercising, and vitamins, and my eating habits. I am religious about my skin product routine, so I have to make sure it is good one. |

Using your juicer three times a week. Now that's a great idea. I need to replace my juicer. There are so many skin-enhancing nutrients in fruits and veggies. |

A side note--Juicing is amazing! There is little better than the taste of fresh juiced fruits and veggies. My favorite is carrot, apple, ginger. Yum. Carrots are awesome b/c they have ample supply of beta carotene which your body can easily make into the vitamin A it needs w/o overdoing it.
The reason I have to commit to it is b/c it is a little time consuming to wash the veggies and then clean the juicer afterwards. But everything seems to look and work better when I juice regularly.
I have the Jack LaLane power juicer (yes, from the infomercial). It is amazing--it takes everthing. |

OK, that's it! My last purchase for a whole year (yeah sure...) will be a juicer today. |

1) I really want to be able to make my own products, so they are customized to my skin needs. I have a successful Vit C/ferulic serum thanx to Kassy.
2) Continue my Ageless exercises 2x's a week
3) Continue my retin-a maintenance |

Mine are as follows:
-Research and be sure before I purchase (ahh think NuFace disaster ).
-Continue to be faithful with facial exercises
-Streamline the amount of vitamins I take.
-Add a green drink everyday (AND/OR GET THE JUICER!)
-Develop a rotation of skin care products and programs that work for me (with the help of serums I will make myself to Kassy here)
-Dermaroller! At least one.
-Water - more of it!
-Get to the gym four times a week instead of 2 or 3.
-Do not let stress affect my peace of mind or the look on my face |

1. Rejoined Weight Watchers. I'm a Lifetime member who has gained 15 pounds I do not need.
2. Learn Pilates. I love Yoga, and need an exercise regimen that will make me flexible and lean. I do weight-lifting, and hike. But I need more stretching to keep my posture tall and body elastic!
How will I stick with it? WW is easy. Pilates... I dunno. Yet. |
