It looks like nobody has posted a review of Tantowel Plus, and the last review of Tantowel (regular) was written over three years ago. So I thought I'd share my experience with them in case anybody needs to darken up a bit before going on a sunny holiday.
This is the first tanning product I've ever had success with. The color looks natural on me, not the least bit orangey, and unlike all the others I've tried, there were no streaks or blotches. I don't even have to go to the trouble of serious exfoliation first. I just give myself a quick scrub with one of those nylon-net puffy things they sell in drugstores, and my regular shower gel. After drying off, I quickly run the towel over both legs. By that point the towel is pretty dry, and I use it to go over my legs again and even out any wet spots. I use the same method on the rest of my body, and so far I haven't gotten any streaks.
Also I like these towels because they don't smell as strong as all the other tanning products I've tried. There's still that sweet odor that they all seem to have, but I'm sensitive to fragrance and didn't find this one overpowering like all the others.
The label says they're for olive-skinned people or frequent tanners, but my only complaint is that they don't produce a very dark color, even after repeated use. This would be a great feature for lighter-skinned girls who don't want to look fake, but my skin has a slight olive color already, so these towels only darken me up a little bit. (Just enough to keep me from being too embarrassed to wear shorts.) |
