HI ALL
started using a combination of THESE oils as a mositurizer :
equal amounts of :
Jojoba oil + rosehips oil + evening primrose.
i'm willing to give it a try (even a few monthes trial), but - do you think it can help ?
i wanna improve my skin. texture , clarity, evenness, and especially pigmentation -
brown pigmentation and red old stubborn marks from acne that just won't won't go away.
rose hips is marketet as a miracle product for skin...
questions :
1. do you think a clearer skin can be expected ?
2. the combination is very greasy... and stays like grease of my face even after an hour ? should i blot ot after an hour ? will it still be effective ?
3. skin seems greasy but not moisturered . can it be ?
4. my experience in past and also now from rose hip oil that it actually brings the brown pigmentation to the surface (it always seems like when i use it , faded pigmentation starts to rise...) i don't know... can it be ? ( i'm afraid i'm doing more damage ... althoght the rose hip oil should actually help with pigmentatiion...
thanks all |

I've used rosehip oil for a while and while I like it I haven't seen any obvious effects. However, at the moment I don't have any major skin complaints so I'm not expecting to see any major effects either.
However, one thing that I was told was important was to apply the oil onto DAMP skin, not dry skin. Give that a go and see if you feel that your skin is more moisturised. |

thanks. it's very helpful. i didn't know that (just saw this advice now on another board).
u sure i should use this of wet skin even if i mix it with other oils ?
did you have any pigmentation or red marks or scar that u didn't see a change ? or haven't you had those to begin with ? |

Well, this was advice that was specific to the rosehip oil but I guess it makes sense for others as well. I am just guessing here (someone please correct me if I am wrong) but I think the oils themselves are not moisturising but that they help to trap misture within the skin. If that is the case then it makes sense to put it on damp skin. But, like I said, that's just my theory behind it
I didn't really have any scars or pigmentation that I was wanting to get rid of but I have heard some reports of rosehip oil being good for fading pigmentation. |

damp skin, not wet skin!
ie. as soon as you've towelled off your face and/or applied toner, apply the oil and massage it in. |
