I am wondering if anyone has tried Purpose facial wash from Johnson & Johnson (they make Clean & Clear and baby products also). I picked up a bottle at the store a while back when they were out of stock of Cetaphil (my favorite). I was surprised to find that Purpose was almost as good as Cetaphil. It is weird since I have never heard of this brand before or seen a single advertisement for it. I hope they can give Cetaphil some competition and then both will lower their prices. |

Lots of dermatologists recommend it. I found it to be mild and unfragranced. Pretty good! |

I alwasy wonder why there are not more alternatives to Cetaphil. Sure, there are lots of face wash products on the market, and I have tried MANY of them. But I almost never find anything that washes/cleans/rinses as well as Cetaphil. I don't think their formula is a big secret (since it is printed right on the back of the bottle), so I wonder why more companies don't just copy it and give it a new name?
So far, Purpose is the closest I have found. |

Cool I never knew they made a product that was similar to cetaphil. I always resort back to it as a "safe" cleanser since I've never had an irritation to it. I don't find it doesn't do a good job deep cleaning though, for that I use cucumber cleansing cream from GNC which I find works great for getting out the nitty gritties. Is Purpose facial wash available in Canada? |

I find purpose to be quite different from Cetaphil. I have no problem with Cetaphil but purpose is drying.
I would consider Aquanil to be closer to Cetaphil. You usually have to ask for this a the pharmacy. I don't know why because its just a basic cleanser. drugstore.com also sells it. |
