OK so you are tired. You just got in from a long flight. Or you had a bad sleep last night and have a million things to do today. Or you had a hard day at work and now you have a hot date. What do you do to revive and revitalize your skin so you look radiant?
This is what I do, I take a long shower, use my favorite eye mask called No Puffery. I leave it on for a few minutes, wash it off, then apply some Topix Replenix Green Tea/Caffeine serum all over my face(helps firm and tighten) then apply some decleor source d'eclat which brightens and gives me a glow. I am also going to be experimenting with essential oils as well and see if that can give me a better glow too.
What are your tips? |

Nice topic!
I exfoliate with Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant(really nice) and then use Valmont Renewing Pack. Or, if I'm rushed, I put on a few drops of Argan oil and massage/pinch my face.
For my eyes: A few reps of facial exercises (the one where you hold two fingers underneath and then lift) followed by soaking a couple of cotton pads with rose water and putting them over my eyes for ten minutes. Really wakes them up! |

I noticed they have Argan oil at sephora. Could you give some more info about it? How does it compare to other oils? Does it give a glow? Thanks! |

There's a whole thread on argan oil on the Product Review forum. Here's a link

The last few times I've had a long flight I've put on Karen Herzog Vitamin H cream topped with the KH essential mask and left it on for the whole flight and when I rinsed it off at the end of the flight my skin glowed for a couple of days.
For a quick pick me up and glow I use Alpha H 15% glycolic hydrating mask with lavender. |

I first wash my face using my cleanser, warm water and a while flannel (and I massage the cleanser into using strokes and massage), and then I rinse the cloth and place it still wet into the freezer for 5 minutes. It becomes icey to the touch, and then apply this to the skin. Literally just pressing it in. It really wakes you up, gives the skin an amazing sensation, and feels wonderful! |

while onboard a flight, one should mist their face -any kind of invigorating spritz or just plain h2o to avoid dehydration |

Along the same lines of bciw, I would recommend Vichy Thermal water. It's a nice sensation too! Have you ever used those little pick me up perfumes, like the roll on ones. I bet they could work a treat if you dabbed em on your temples, wrists etc. Last time I took a plane I arrived looking awful. I hadn't slept for like two days and my contacts were killing me! Suffice to say I will be following this thread avidly. |

amonovais it might sound silly but if I don't have access to anything splashing my face with cold water and rinsing for 15-20 times helps! Probably not a bad idea to flood the skin with water, especially after you travel? |

jom, would you mind sharing the technical details of putting a mask in the plane?
so, I leave home with sunscreen and powder on, should I take them off in an airplane and then put a mask on?
that is, I should take a whole lot of skincare products to the airplane toilet with me and how long will it take???
sorry for the stupid question |

It's not stupid I put them on at home. With the KH essential mask it feels like a moisturizer. I spread it across my face over the Vitamin H cream and let it sit for at least ten minutes then pat the rest in so I don't look like I have a mask on. Then I dust some mineral makeup over it for the sunscreen. If it's the morning I use Skinceuticals CE Ferulic first so that gives me some added sunscreen protection too. I guess you could do it in the airport bathroom before you board the plane but I wouldn't wash my face using the water in the bathroom on the plane. |

I wash my face with cold water and give it a good massage upward. Then I slapped my face (not too hard) until the skin is pink. Follow with another round of cold water. |

I thought of another thing. Try and exfoliant. I notice when I use my Prescriptives exfoliator (the normal one not the heat up mask). The little beads re-energize my skin a little and it feels quite nice. I think they stimulate the blood a little (?) I've used it on days where my skin looked really blaaahh and it perked me up plenty. I believe I even got some compliments
It's pretty fabulous I'd definatly recommend it. |

I would wash my face with water, scrub and put on a hydrating/whitening mask to brighten up my face |

For me, a really good moisturizer while on the long haul flight makes a huge difference. Then I use the Avene soothing moisture mask when I get where I'm going. It isn't really so much a mask as a heavy duty moisturizer itself. You're supposed to wipe off the excess after 10 minutes or so, but after 10 or 15 hours on a plane, there isn't much that doesn't soak in!
Don't forget sunscreen if you have a window seat--UV radiation is particularly intense at 35,000 feet! |

I think my way is a bit drastic but works even if you have a hangover.
Fill a sink with ice and cold water. Let the ice completely chill the water.
Hold your breath and "dive" your face in there.
get some air, repeat a few times. It's like ICE sauna - and works wonders. No puffiness, fully awake, skin marvelous.
:
Compliment by nice moisturizer and off you go. |

Interesting, I don't really do anything - I have a great night of sleep and then I am fine...
Or ice cold water bath for face... |
