So, I was thinking of adding Skinactives Sea kelp ultramarine to my shampoo and conditioner. I've very sensitive scalp: can't use most brands of shampoo/conditioner.
So, I'm suffering a lot of hair loss probably 'cos my scalp is getting very irritated. =(
Anyways, will this method work or will the mixture separate? Any ideas or comments?
Btw, I'm aware of other similar online stores but shipping to Singapore is freaking expensive, so I'm sticking with Skinactives for now. |

I don't care for the Ultramarine as a hair product. I found it to leave my hair very greasy. I am however a huge fan of Bioferment and still use that regularly, both in shampoo and also as a leave in conditioner. |

Thanks for the advice! Ah, I'd been wondering what SKB meant. Yeah, if Ultramarine is that oily, it'll be even worse in Singapore's humid weather.
I sure hope to find a nice replacement shampoo for the one I'm using: Klorane which sucks.I think I'll switch back to A'kin Lemongrass and pray nothing goes wrong. Too bad it's so hard to find something sls-free, scent-free and without essential oils, in Singapore. |

Yuri since you have so much trouble with shampoo you should consider not using any at all. Many people are doing this by cleansing their hair with a solution of 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 cup of water. For conditioner 2 tablespoons of vinegar added to approximately 2 cups of water then rinse afterward. Their is a bit of transition with this method. Hair may not feel as clean for a few days until the hair and scalp adjust to the change. I also use SKB on my scalp. It isn't oily at all. I have oily hair. The stuff is awesome! I was having hair loss a while back but now it has subsided. I'm getting new hair growth; but it takes time. |

Cat_eyes are you putting the SKB on the scalp neat or mixed in with something? I've been trying to find something to use my SKB up on. |

I haven't noticed much difference between SKB and the skinactives ultramarine on my hair - I shampoo and con, towel dry, then apply SKB to hair and scalp, and let dry naturally if time permits.
When I've used the ultramarine, instead of SKB, seems much the same, no greasy/oily effect. However, I have dreadful dry frizzy hair (and I mean really bad, dare not leave the house without using a flat iron), so my experience may not be the norm... ![Embarassed](images/smiles/redface.gif) |
