I have black heads all over my nose can any body tell me what product I can use.
I have combination skin oily/dry forehead oily nose and dry everywhere else.
I use ALMAY hypo-allergenic cleanser every day and LANCOME exfoliance once a week only on nose. I can't see any difference yet but I have only been using these products for 2 weeks now. Should I keep using these products? |

Well, ever since I started using my sample of Decleor Essential Balm mine have improved quite noticeably. I've been impressed with the product so I just bought the full size.
I've also just started using Dermalogica Microfoliant and the combination of that with the Decleor Balm is fantastic in my opinion.
Sorry, I can't comment on the products you're using because I haven't used them myself. Just thought I'd let you know what works for me. You can go on www.makeupalley.com and read reviews of the above two products. I think people there mention the effect these products have had on their blackheads.
Also, for something fun every so often, I like using Devina's Choice mask (a peel off mask that pulls out any blackheads because they stick to the mask itself). It's very good and very satisfying when you see what you pulled out (icky.... I know). Not sure what I'll get out of it now that I'm using the Dermalogica and Decleor though.
I have I guess combo skin. Normal (sometimes dry) and a little oily on t-zone. |

Hi Jo,
You can get the Dermalogica Microfoliant and the Decleor Essential Balm here at EssentialDaySpa:
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/dermalogica_cleansers.htm
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/Decleor_Aromatherapy.htm
Before you decide to order these it would probably be best for you to wait for Magda's or Caspers Mum's reply. They are the resident specialists who run this site/forum Perhaps they can suggest something even better, but the above works for me really well. The Essential Balm is a bit scary at first because it looks very oily, but it REALLY works though (you use it at night).
The Devina's Choice mask is actually from Ireland but you can order it online at http://www.preeventacne.com/. It's only US$8.95 which includes world wide postage. I use this one on my nose only (though you can use it on your entire face). Word of warning, it does sometimes hurt a bit peeling it off because it sticks to your nose pretty well (which is how it pulls out the blackheads).
Good luck and let us all know how you go!

Mabsy:)
Is Daily Mircofoliant suitable for skin which is quite sensitive? Veins are quite visible at both of my cheek. Or should i only use it around my nose area? |

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is perfect DEEP cleanser for sensitive skin. It is unique in that it is Rice-based. It has good brightening properties and I think that it is a must for everyone, especially for those with a lot of blackheads.
Ureshi, you can use Daily Microfoliant on your sensitive cheeks with no problem.

Hello Jo, welcome to our forum.
There are lots of products on the market that would be very effective for cleansing your pores. Try something with Glycolic Acid (Fruit Acid). Some other product choices to consider for your congested skin would be;
MD Formulations Cleanser with glycolic acid
Peter Thomas Roth Moisturizer with Glycolic Acid
Phytomer Comedogel (as a spot treatment for your nose)

Hi Jo
I just wanted to add to the testimonials for Dermalogica. I've found that Lancome's cleansers and exfoliators are not very effective. Maybe you'd look to try something new |
