I've already posted this in the the Clarisonic voltage converter thread but I thought I would start a new topic in case others were interested.

It seems that Clarisonic has come out with a new model: Clarisonic PLUS Skin Care System with Spot Therapy - "three speeds for the face plus a Spot Therapy mode to care for areas of the body needing extra attention."

http://www.clarisonic.com/shop/skin-care-system-plus-white.php

The kit includes the universal charging cradle and two brush heads (sensitive face brush head & Spot Therapy brush head) for $225.

The Clarisonic models are a little confusing to me. I know there's the Classic and Pro. But EDS has both a two-speed and three-speed Pro available. I haven't read through all of the Clarisonic threads. I'll try to, but if anyone would be willing to clarify the difference betwee the Pro models, I would really appreciate it!

But back to the new PLUS model, I wrote to EDS yesterday and they were supposed to have the new system up on the website very soon.

I'm curious too. The different models are a little confusing to me. Hopefully someone will chime in with more info.

I've had the two speed for just over a year, and I use it, but I'm not impressed enough to buy again.

I have a 2-speed Clarisonic that I've had for years. I love it!

I am on Clarisonic's email list and yesterday I got an email from them about the new model with 3-speeds and the spot treatment. I don't know what the spot treatment entails but that is the addition on the new model.

I assume there is more info on their website about the spot treatment feature of the new model: www.clarisonic.com

well, then, what's confusing to me..is if this new model that is $225 has 3 power options plus the spot option...why are there models that have 4 options (without calling it the spot option) that still sell for $!95 retail? (i saw this on the web)

I can't speak for the speed settings of the different models (am a little confused myself about them), but I think the reason this system is more expensive is because it includes the universal charging cradle which sells for $45 on its own.

Thanks Schang

i've also been reading the other clarisonic threads..but still feel confused about what this new model is offering..

i do want to purchase one..but would ratherthan EDS carry the $195 model with the 4 speeds than this 'body' model with the 4 speeds..as i don't personally need a universal charger..but would like the 4 speeds.

except the Spot Therapy brush head, what are the difference between the $195 brush and the $225 brush?

The $225 system also comes with the universal charging cradle (which is sold separately for $45).

I wrote to Clarisonic asking for some clarification on the speeds of the new Plus system and this was their reply: "The Plus has three speeds and a spot therapy mode which is sort of like a 4th speed, but it only works when the spot therapy brush head is attached."

I saw the Clarisonic Plus also on their website. Would like to know more about it - is it compatible with the existing brush heads - and hopefully EDS carries it soon at a respectable price level.

The Clarisonic New one from official website is a classic one which has three speed, but have a look the link http://www.essentialdayspa.com/clarisonic-pro-skin-care-p_10446.htm. It is professional version, 4 speed! So cool!

Think Amazon has the new 4 speed one - has anyone. I live in UK so I might buy from Amazon as they are in stock.

You should probably write to Clarisonic customer service and ask them. They're really prompt with replying.

I sent an e-mail to the company and asked them, can I use the new body brush on my older model Clarisonic brush and the answer is "no". You would have to buy the new model to get the body brush.

I really want the latest model but it's hard to justify buying another one. The quality of the machine and brush is excellent. Since I really want the newer version, I might just buy it and use the older version to take with me on my vacation trips.

Do you think that's justifiable? Razz

I wrote this in the other thread but I might as well post it here too. Apparently you can use it quite effectively on KP. I was reading a derms blog and she recommended the new pro model for KP. For me it's a better choice than going to Holt Renfrew and buying a regular one for $212 or so. I'd rather support EDS anyway.
