Hello all! I have a couple questions for ya. Is it ok to use HA topically by itself w/out adding anything to it? I had originally got it to add to my homemade vit c serum but have since found out that this is a no no. Also, is it ok to use just distilled water and LAA for a c serum or must I add other things in order for it to be stable? Thanks in advance for all your help! |

shannon I would be very cautious about using hyaluronic acid full strength. The concentration recommendation is 1 - 5 % of the total volume of a product. I would do some research because you could end up sucking all the water out of your skin instead of plumping it up.
You could very easily use distilled water and LAA for a c-serum. I believe there are a few people who mix it fresh in their hand every morning. I used to make a "toner" out of H2o and LAA but stopped using that once I started making Kassy's C-serum. The toner would be stable for about a week. |
