I have recently tried the two stage cleansing process from Babor. It's basically two products that are supposed to be used together, first a cleansing oil then a herbal extract over the top.
You apply the cleansing oil to your (dry) face with (dry) hands and then apply one of the Babor Phytoactive extracts. Each extract targets a different skin type; one for sensitive skins (this is the one I tried), one for dry skin, one for combo skin, and, one for mature skin. Ther are also TWO types of the base cleansing oil; one for all skin types (the one I tried), as well as one specifically for oily skin.
In terms of cleansing I think the oil itself does a good job and the stuff you put over it is for your skin's added benefit. It removed my eye makeup and face makeup very well and did not leave any oily residue on the skin. It does not leave a squeaky clean feeling - just a comfortable clean face. I could probably get away with not moisturising after using this - but I don't want to! I have normal to combo skin btw.

Glad you liked the Babor hy-öl + phytoactive combo. It is true that it leavs a comfy clean feeling and I have noticed that my moisturisers tend to last longer now than before. It does not irritate the skin, but still cleans very well. And toner is not necessary.
I have normal/combo skin wich is very dehydrated and a bit sensitiv. Used to have a bit flaky skin too, but not any more |

Well, I probably have enough cleansing oil at home to last me a few years (considering that I don't use it very often). However, if I was in the market for an cleansing oil then I would repurchase the Babor instead of the Decleor one. I find them both equally effective but personally prefer the smell of the Babor one. I also quite like the two step process and how you can tailor it to different skin types. I'm not sure if the herbal extracts are all that beneficial but I do like the whole process nonetheless

Is it a bit troublesome as you need to use two items to clean the face???
Does it work well? Is it worth doing so???
The products are not cheap!! |

When I first read about Babor cleansing oil,
a woman said she would sing whenever she is using that. That's why I decided to try. I have cleansing oil and phytoactive for sensitive.
It is a little too much. When I use the cleansing oil, my hands get kind of messy. So, I have to use tissues to wipe off the oil before I apply the phytoactive. And the result after I rinse off, I want to sing from there- skin feels soft and clean. I use many cleansing milks and cleansers at the same time. And I have to say this is really good. |
