With one of my recent EDS orders I received a little pack that contained a 15mL tube of the Babor Moist&Fresh mask and one ampule of Hydra Plus Activ Fluid. Last night I gave myself a bit of a DIY facial and I decided to use this combo as my hydrating mask.
I started off by using the LUSH Cupcake mask, washed it off, dried my face, and then applied the Hydra Plus Activ Fluid. Being used to using the Dr Hauschka Rhythmic Night Conditioner ampules (I'm currently going through another 28-day course) I really have to say that Dr Hauschka has a LOT to learn about ampule packaging and that they could learn a thing or two from Babor. The Babor ampule was super easy to open, you have to break off the top part and it broke off smoothly with no shards of glass sticking out waiting to cut you (are you paying attention Dr H?). I also found that the ampule (2mL) is way too big to be used all in one go. I put a bit of blu-tak on mine to close it until next time. I think there's probably another 2 applications in there. Anyhooooo, I applied the fluid and patted it in until it sunk in and my skin felt nicely moist. I then applied a generous amount of the Moist&Fresh and left it on for ten minutes. The Moist&Fresh is a sky bluish gel-cream mask that feels quite refreshing on without actually feeling minty.
The instructions actually say that after the 10 minutes you should massage in the excess. Actually, I would tend to disagree with Babor on that one (unless I just applied a lot more than they think is required). The gel-cream mask actually does dry a bit on the skin and it becomes a bit tacky to the touch. That made massaging in the excess not really an option for me as it really didn't feel nice. So I ended up washing most of the mask off and then massaging in what was left over. In the end my skin was noticeably plumper and felt nice and smooth. I am really starting to be of the opinion that gel or gel-cream moisturising masks tend to be much better at leaving skin plump rather than just cream based hydration masks. Last night's mask left my skin more plump than the Thalgo/Phytomer cream hydrating masks that I usually use. I still think that as far as "plumping" products go, the best result I have had so far was with a combination of Sothys Hydraoptimale Gel and Liposomes Gel. That probably means that I should try their Hydraoptimale mask Does anyone know if that is a gel-cream or a cream?
I also used up a pair of Orlane eye patches last night which were quite nice. It was a nice relaxing thing to do at the end of the day I love DIY facials! |

I just received this same duo with my EDS order yesterday! Can't wait to try it now. Thanks, Mabsy (also my order was for the Babor Sensational Eyes that I've been dying to try mostly due to your recommendations!). |

I almost finish a bottle of Babor Sensational Eyes (based on Mabsy's recommendation, too). The fluid itself is not heavy and gives a nice soft feeling when massage around the eye area. Maybe I need to use another bottle or maybe my skin is just too .... insensitive , I dont see much differences yet. Just ordered Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream, will report how that one works. But, doesn't it take a while to see the effects? |

Nanapost - I just had a look and I can't find it listed on EDS either. However, I just checked and I did get the product name right. Perhaps you can no longer get it or it's not yet listed. I'm not quite sure sorry.
Happygirl163 - Just out of curiosity, are you using the gel or the cream? I do have both but so far I have used the cream and found that to be a really nice and soft moisturiser. I've got the gel (it's clear with tiny little blue and green spheres in it) and I plan to use this in summer. What are you actually after in terms of improvement in the eye area? If it's fine lines then Cellcosmet would be a good choice, it's had positive reports with regards to fine lines.
CrazyForClooney - for my sake I hope you like it Please let me know what you think of it (be it good or bad). |

Mabsy - I ordered the cream. Tell us how do you like the gel form ... that product is really pricy, I hope it really worthies. I have dark circle (depends on how late I stayed up the night before, I know, I know, but that's why I am the night owl ) and puffiness under my right eye (weird, huh? just one side). I read your review on PTR Power K for dark cicle, and it’s on my trial list. I will let you how Dr H clay mask works. |

I haven't used the gel much yet (neither the Babor nor the Cellcosmet) I think I might get stuck into them this summer. Will definitely keep you posted |
