Sounds like dermatitis, I would see a derm. |

I once had a bad case of really dry skin under my mouth. Pretty much covered my whole chin area. Really dry flaking skin. I put up with this for weeks, tried every cream out there. Then my doctor gave me a cortisone cream and it cleared up in days and never came back. You could try an over the counter low percentage cortisone cream for a couple days and see if it seems to help. |

You don't even need to see a derm. Just ask your local pharmacist for an over the counter cortisone cream. I think you can buy up to 2% with a prescription but I heard you shouldn't use anything over 1% on your face because the skin is thinner. And it should be used short term only as it can cause permanant damage. |
