I did a search & couldn't find info specific to what I'm looking for.
I'll be 50 in a couple of months. My skin is still quite oily and I'm getting hormonal cystic breakouts, mainly on my chin area. The moisturizer I used all winter was great, but the minute it got warm out, it made my face an oil slick. In the past, I've used Estee Lauder's Clear Difference with some success, but I thought I'd check with y'all to see if someone has a suggestion I haven't tried yet.
So... Any suggestions for a good moisturizer for very oily, but not teenage skin?
Thanks! |

My skin gets oily too when it turns humid. What I like is MyChelle Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum (over my DIY vit C serum) followed by Live-Live Bee Yummy Skin Food. The honey is a great humectant in addition to the MyChelle Serum without being oily. Honey also is a anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory for nipping zits in the bud.

Fawnie,
Thank you so much for that link! Definitely going to be calling for some samples. I've always believed honey is a great healer, but in its natural state, it's a mess to use.
Keeping my fingers crossed... |

You could use almost anything Valmont or Cellcosmet. I know these products are expensive but they just do not cause any breakouts. |

My skin is not sensitive at all. Just breaks out from anything that causes the least bit of pore obstruction, due to being very oily. I was using Obagi-C 20% with no problem at all - thinking about buying some more, but may go the DIY route, if someone could tell me how to mix a 20% version. All the recipes I've seen are for 15% or less. I'd love to be able to mix Vit C with the Monistat chafing cream, if I knew how much to put in it. Surprisingly, silicones don't seem to bother my skin.
Thanks for the input. And I'd love to try Valmont or Cellcosmet, but they're out of budget range at the moment. |

You'd better drink plenty of water. |

Weren't you saying this on another thread also? Actually the DIY recipes I use have produced fresh, effective products at a lower cost. If you haven't tried them, you should and maybe you'd have a different opinion based upon experience. |

Just curious - what prompted you to say that? I do drink a lot of water most days. At one of my part-time jobs (I have several because I can't find a decent full-time job at the moment), I'm not allowed to have a cup on-going. I have to drink from "cone cups," a little at a time, so I end up not drinking as much water those days. |
