Thank you everyone for your suggestions and imput on a new line for my day spa. I have researched them all and found several I really like. Unfortuately, I can only bring in one. Currently I travel regionally for a department store cosmetic line and that is what I have been using in the spa. I want to exclusify myself and make a little money off what I sell -and that is why I'm looking for something new. Here's what I've tried in the order I like best. I need some votes or arguments for all from some regular users to help me with my decision. Then I will buy that line and try it for a month to be sure. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Hopefully this is legal, but maybe to learn more about what I may want visit my website (you can email me for the address)! I am not selling anything!!
HERE THEY ARE:

1. BABOR - I really love the advanced biogen line...I am dryer.

2. YON-KA - Really supportive company it seems. Like the way their products feel.

3. DECLEOR - I like the smell and feel, however a little concerned about some clients being allergic to some of the ingredients.

4. EMINENCE ORGANICS - Loved the smell and the fact that they prepare them fresh and are organic. But don't know how effective they are. Didn't seem to be enough for me. Also was unempressed with the area rep.

5. ARBONNE - Like the products. Don't think I want the pressure of goals to make although I don't think it would be tough. Just not sure about the company and the way you are contracted.

6. SOTHYS - Didn't really like the products. I like a good squeaky clean cleanser feel.

7. PEVONIA - Made me breakout. Should of remembered this from a facial I had at one of their spas once.

NOT SURE:
Question DR. HAUSHKA - never sent any samples.
SKINCEUTICALS - never got a response from rep.

What do you think? Any great that I haven't tried?? THANK YOU AGAIN- I APPRECIATE ALL FEEDBACK!
Very Happy Kara

I would give my vote to Babor. I love Babors 2-step cleansing oil! I also love the rose toning lotion, very gentle. Some of their masks and serumes are absolutly wonderful. And their eye creams are very nice. When I think about it I haven't been disappointed with any of the products I've been recommended for my skintype (dehydrated combo skin). The only drawback is that it is rather expensive... Smile

I have also tried a lot of Decleorproducts, and I have to say there are few of them I like. I had high expectations to Decleor, but was disappointed.

I was actually quite keen to try to select one but then realised that I have at least one good product from EACH of the lines you listed Laughing

I would also suggest you perhaps consider Jurlique as well?

liz dont you dare laugh at my suggestion!

i think you should try sircuit. theyre products are in loads of top spas and plastic surgery clinics because of their effectiveness, and they sell samples of everything so you can experience them before making a decision.

the websites called sircuitskin.com

good luck with the search!

Happy,

I would go for a line which I would be happy to recommend to others, ie one I would be happy to use myself, one that caters for a wide selection of skin types, one that offers good support/advice and one that is reasonably priced.

Thanks again! I will check out circuit and jurlique.
I'm not too concerned about price as most of my clients have been buying lauder from me...mostly renutriv which is pretty costly. So I am looking for an upper end line.
I also am very new to trying different products. I have been using lauder for 12 years and just started my dayspa in Sept. I agree with you eve. I want a line that offers several systems, that caters to everyone.
Thanks!!

I'm surprised you didn't think of darphin considering you already sell lauder. There's not a produt of theirs that I didn't like...just too expensive!!

liann..
I did think of Darphin. In fact thought of them first. I had a hard time trying to get a hold of them. Their website contact page is under construction and I'm only getting international #'s for them. Do you know how to reach a regional office?? I will keep researching that. Thanks for reminding me!

naturallyhappy31 - If price is no object then I would suggest Cellcosmet. Although I don't know if they have a wide enough range if you wanted to do facials with them... You'd have to look that up.

I should not have read this post... Laughing

Babor has me sooo interested in their products (be strong, be strong) and then along came Mabsy to remind me that Cellcosmet is SO high on my wants list it is not funny. Thank goodness you did not mention Valmont Wink

Personally, I am a big fan of Dr. Hauschka. I was intrigued by Eminence Organics because of their 'all-natural' spin. However, upon examination of their website, they only claim that their 'active ingredients' are natural, and do not provide the full list of ingredients for their products (and from the photos they also appear to be colored with dyes). I guess it all depends on what kind of a niche you intend to market to. For those of us with chemical sensitivities, Dr. Hauschka seems to be the best major line (so far) in my experience. I have oily skin and following the recommended routine has really cut down on my oil production and has given my skin a healthier glow, so I am very happy so far. Good luck with your spa!

Chimera,

I don't know about all the Eminence products but I just had a look at the ingredients of three of the masks that I have and all the ingredients seem to be natural with no added colors. I'm not sure about their moisturisers...

Really? Now I am excited. There website was worded in such a way that it made me suspect, not to mention the fact that the never responded to my two emails asking about their ingredients! Which masks are these? I would love to try them.

Well, of the Pumpkin&Orange, Carrot Vitamin, Hungarian Herbal Mud, and, Stone Crop masks, not a single one of them has any color additives listed. A few do have Salicylic Acid in them, but that's about it. For example, the Pumpkin one has: Orange Pulp, Pumkin Pulp, Carrot Pulp, Orange Oil, Honey, Vitamins A, B, C, E, Bioflavonoids, Fruit Sugars, Mineral Salts, Trace Elements, Carboxymethylcellulose, and Salicylic Acid. That's the full ingredient list off the box.
