I've heard the rave about getting a magic straight perm to where your hair is very sleek, shiny, and super straight. So I bit the bullet and made an appointment to get it done.
For those of you had it done.. i had a few concerns that I was hoping you'd help me with. How long until you can wash your hair? Is it going to be so straight that there will be no volume? i have a pointy head, so no volume make look a bit weird. |

Hi Luckylady:
usually you can't wash your hair within 24hrs after the job is done.
Whether your hair has volume after the straight perm is depends on the hair dresser's skill... Some hair dressers know what look good on you or pay extra attention to your head&face shape, then do the straight perm slight differently on your hair (for example, starting the perm from 5cm of your hair root instead of usual 2cm to bring up more volume...etc..) i hope this help. |

| I was going to have this done once but changed my mind at the last minute because I was told that I would not be able to use a swimming pool for quite some time after the treatment. I can't remember exactly how long but it was quite a while and I like to swim a lot so it wasn't suitable for me. If you like to swim check with them about this. |
