Burt's Bees Bay Rum is really nice. Coolwater, mmmmmmm Joop, etc.
Cologne is not always necessary but always shower with soap, clean hair and
ANTI PERSPIRANT/DEODORANT are a must for guys.
You guys sweat a lot so deodorant is #1. And clean clothes, including socks & boxers/underwear everyday. Clean teeth, ohhh and clean your ears with q tips. Ear wax is a real turn off and something guys don't think of but girls notice, trust me!!!!
I like that your on this natural/organic kick. I am sure you practice great hygiene I just thought I would mention it just in case, or for other guys reading.
Good Luck Darlin' Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your reply. I hate cologne. I am very sensitive to smells. Girls wearing too much is quite a turn off. Guy's scents should even be very subtle and anything more I tell them that they smell like a pimp or a whore. One should't be able to smell a guy's cologne unless you are actually standing or sitting right next to him. I totally agree that the freshly showered clean scent is best and then layered with deodorant, body powder and light aftershave is all a guy needs.
The natural aftershaves seems to be the best since they are not overpowering and the smell doesn't stick to your clothes or leave tracks on furniture or things you touch. I'm also looking at products from Living Nature, Zia Natural, Phytomer, and Zirh. I did find the aftershaves I listed above today at Whole Foods Store. I actually checked the Burts Bees Bay Rum aftershave but i'm not a big fan of the licorice or rum scent. All others have cool light scents, not musky at all. I'll go check Coolwater or Joop. Also have you taken a whiff of Aqua di Gio or Best of Chevignon aftershaves?
BTW, here's a poll from FHM magazine which will come out this November. You guys (and gals) might be interested in putting in your favorite skincare products for men (or your man).

well, yes, scent is a very personal thing. You can never go wrong with the fresh, shower clean followed by deodarant.
I don't wear much perfume at all but one of my fav's is the womens' version of Aqua di Gio for women, so I am sure I would love the mens' verson. I love Coolwater, it's damn right sexy!!!!
Joop is a little different. I dated this guy named Louie who wore it and he was kinda' different, unique, alternative, grungy, smart skater like. Very hard to explain but I will forever think of him when I smell this.
Find something you like, that says "you" and go with it. Just don't over spray yourself.
Sounds like you know what your doing.
Keep us updated, Andrea
Ohhh and also, don't forget to wash your sheets, blankets, dishclothes, etc. Guys sometimes miss this stuff. Espically if you have a lady friend over, change the sheets. Espically if you are having a different lady friend over after another lady friend.
I have a real funny story if your interested.
But for now, all I'll say is change your sheets at least once per week. |

Well I checked Coolwater and I like the scent. Unfortunately, this is now worn by every guy in town. Joop has a strong fruity scent which is not to my liking. |

Anything Acca Kappa hands down. White Moss is Unisex & Cedar is the men's line. It's a product that isn't there until you get close!
I think it may bewww.shopaccakappa.com - if not you can do a google on it. They ship all over the world (It's an Italian line & they only have 2 actual stores in North America) and give LOTS of samples if you ask! |
