Sorry, I know this is one of the oldest topics in the forum.
But I'm just wondering if there is any new products and techniques launched recently..coz I'm trying so many products and no one works wonder.
Help~~~
Can't go out without makeup now.
The acnes are on and off on my face. Sometimes it seems to be cured, but when I felt really happy, it appears again. Sigh...
Anyone suffers the same problem? Btw, I'm way too old to be "teenagers"
Thanks! |

If you do a search you should be able to return a lot of NEW info on this topic...
Also what are you currently doing for your acne now? |

I have had some great results from Bliss Liver spot peel. It is VERY drying so you will peel but it does lighten. |

Hi Vani! Actually my situation sounds very similar to yours--- I had a bad bout of acne and my face was covered in scars, so much that I hated leaving the house. I honestly didn't think anything could help me because my skin is soooo fair and so fragile that scarring usually takes months if not years to go away. However, I happened to meet a very nice lady named Amy, who is the founder of a company called "Naturderm" (www.greatnewskin.com). She told me that many of her clients had come to her with the same problem--- a face full of scars--- and her products had helped them, so she felt confident that they could help me too. I have to admit I was a little skeptical since my skin was SO badly damaged, but I started using the Naturderm products. I started using the Epidermx II (a microderm scrub) once a day, Chrysalyx (a skin-rejuvenating lotion) twice a day, and Triple Lavender Face Foam (a mild face wash with fruit acids) once a day. I was hoping I'd start to see results within a few months, so you can imagine my surprise when I started seeing results within a WEEK! I'm serious! After about a month I added in Naturdermx (a peptide-based cream) once a day too. Now, it's been a little less than 2 months since I started using the Naturderm products, and my scars have VANISHED! I only have one small indented scar left from a particularly horrible breakout, but even that is shrinking so I feel really good about it. It used to be that even with a face full of makeup my bright red scars showed through. Now I can go out without makeup if I want to, though I still usually dust a light layer of mineral makeup on because I love the airbrushed look it gives me.
The Naturderm products are just a little expensive, so I would definitely recommend ordering the trial pack that contains epidermxII and chrysalyx first, to try them out. The trial pack is a two week supply--- what I did when I tried it is I kept the packet of Chrysalyx in a ziplock bag, and I used a q-tip to get product out of the packet so I could stretch it out for the whole 2 weeks. Good luck, and HTH! |

That's fantastic!! I thought that only deep, deep peels would remove acne scarring. |

I hear ya!I am on a determined search to find something that shows results. After spending 1,500 on micro laser peels..I am sad to say that I didn't get the results I had hoped for. My skin is a little smoother, but I am still forced to wear foundation. The laser treatment did not do much for the red scars, and I am seeking a mask type treatment to lighten them up. I might check out the brand that was suggested in this post. |

The epidermxII really helped me with my acne scars. I also alternate b/w the Neutrogena acne fading mask & JAP. I'm constantly switching lines & deviated to ISC clinical recently. Very BAD decision. I broke out in terrible cyst acne! So discouraging, especially since my skin really was doing a turn around. I discontinued using the ISC line & will go back to using the epidermx, chryslyx & naturdermx. I did not have a reaction with these products & they really helped my skin improve. I just get a little greedy sometimes & think that there's always something better out there. Anywho, I'm also going to try Amy's triple lavendar face foam as I haven't found an hg cleanser yet. I'm finishing up w/the bbs acne soap.
I also received my "I Feel Pretty" serum today & hopefully that will help completely clear up this break out. Although the BBS acne serum was doing a good job, of course I'm always trying something new. |

I am very curious to try EpidermxII, after hearing such positive results. I have sensitive skin so I hope this will work for me and I can get rid of the little dark/red spots from a recent breakout. Where can I purchase the trial kit for EpidermxII and Chrysalyx?
Manslayerliz: I only found a trial size for EpidermxII on thewww.greatnewskin.com site but not the trial pack. Unless I am not looking in the right place under their products?
TIA |

Leidon, Don't throw away the ISC. 99% of the time, people will have a reaction to a new skin care regime if they are getting immediate results. I know it's hard to continue using something that breaks you out, but I really think you broke out because the ISC was working. I bet you would feel better though using the stuff that is making a difference with the others sweet people here.

Leidon--- I hear exactly what you are saying. I always tend to get greedy and "jump ship" to new lines. However, for literally the first time in my life I love my skin, so I plan to stick with the Naturderm products. I hope the Naturderm products and the I Feel Pretty serum (memo to self, try sample of IFP serum) can help you get your acne back under control again--- please keep us updated! |

Oh, I forgot something!! When I first started using the Naturderm products I was using a combination of Alima mineral make up (www.alimacosmetics.com), and drugstore concealer and powder foundation. However, Amy advised me that I would have better results if I would stop using the drugstore products and only use Alima. I was a little nervous at first because I had been using the drugstore products for years and I didn't know if the Alima alone would be enough to cover my scars, but actually I found that it worked even BETTER than the drugstore products. Not only that, but the Alima also helped heal existing inflammation and it didn't clog my pores, so making the switch turned out to be really great advice (thanks, Amy!!^-^). So, if anyone is considering trying the Naturderm products for scars, you might want to think about trying out mineral makeup too--- it made a big difference for me. |

I just re-ordered my Naturderm products along w/the triple lavendar cleanser. The breakout has subsided, but now I'm dealing w/major acne scars. My skin is very pigmented, so anytime I pick at my face I get a black mark. So, I've got tons of marks to deal with now.
I was so disappointed when the ISC line demolished my skin, especially after reading such rave reviews. I think it's also b/c I started using the entire line (active, super, proheal, firming, hydracool) all at the same time. My skin just freaked out. Once I get my acne back under control, I was going to introduce one product a week to see if I have a reaction, but now I'm way too scared to even try that. However, I think that I'll give the active serum a try as I've heard great things about this serum in healing acne/scars. I am going to do my best to just stick to Naturderm & resist the temptation to continually try new lines. My skin really was starting to look good & I was happy with it.
I tried the IFP serum last night & I didn't wake up with any new acne, but it's still too early to tell if it's b/c of the serum or my skin just calming down. |

Leidon, it's scary when you see bad things happening to your skin. I don't blame you at all for not wanting to stay with the ISC. And yes, I do think you should stop putting different things on your face all the time. The ISC rep told me something that I thought was interesting. She said that you do need to change skin care up occassionally (sp?) That our skin adapts and settles in after prolonged use to the same things all the time. I didn't know this as I thought that once you found something that works, you stay with it. I asked the JM Rep about this philosophy today and she pretty much agreed except for glycolic acid. She said we should use glycolic acid almost all the time.
Take care Leidon. And best wishes for your skin. Keep us posted.

I had the same problem. Failed by using so many skin care products, I went to see my doctor and she prescribe me "Gen-Minocycline". It worked after around 4 months after I took it. I know it is quite a long time. And she told me it will take another 6 months to get rid off the scars. I think I will stick on it. But just wonder how it works. In my opinion, take pills for such a long time is not good for health. Even though so far I didn't find out any side-effect, still wonder if anyone of you knows if there is any bad effects of this pill. Thanks a lot! |
