I have been using L2K for over 2 years and have had very little dryness since I got past the early stage. But for the last couple months my upper lip and just above my lip has been extremely dry and crusty and almost cracking (so sore). The only changes I have made to my routine are the clarisic and Zenbiotic products (neither of which I think is causing it) but I have used PSF retinol .5% occasionally during the last couple months, but was careful not to get any on my lips. Could it be the retinol that is causing the dryness? I did a search and it looks like some people have been using retinol on their lips at night as an exfoliant, so does this mean that it shouldn't be causing lip dryness? Anyone else ever have dry lip issues while using retinol? |

I don't have such problems, but then I don't apply retinol nowhere near my lips.
I wonder if Kandis has changes something in her mixtures. Have you asked her? |

Retinol can definitely cause lip dryness, Diana P. Do you apply your L2K products first, and then your retinol product? If not, you could try that way. Aquaphor applied around your lip area before you apply the Retinol will help, and then wipe away any excess Retinol/Aquaphor around your mouth area. |
