Hi guys, thanks for the pointers before! I have been taking Retin A .04 for a few months and it has prevented most new blemishes. I hear it is good long term too because of the vit A. My problem is that i have red spots on my cheeks and jaw from earlier pimples. They are kind of bumpy, and red. Is this scaring?? And what can help get rid of them? They have been there for a couple months now, which really bothers me...
whats going on?
I am using Retin A and a Neutragena Deep Clean wash once a day, and wash with water the rest of the day.
thanks! |

Retin-A was great at helping my face quit breaking out (especially cystic acne) but it did not seem to do much for my melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from cystic acne. I tried using AHA creams and lighteners but not much luck. Adding C serum to my routine was the "key" for me. I use the Retin-A at night and the C in the AM. Really, really helped. Also, daily use of sunscreen and sunshades on the windows of the car.... |

My personal favorite is the C+ Firming serum at cellularskinrx.com. (They take credit cards using PayPal, etc.) But the EDS site also has some C's you can look at - Mabsy likes the Vivier and some others like the Skinceuticals....Both brands are good brands, too. Other than those two, I think that Neostrata and Skinmedica make good C serums but they use silicone in their products. Some people are sensitive to silicone...don't know if you are one of them...Good luck! C serum is the greatest skincare product I have had the good luck to stumble upon. |

Yep, my vote's for the Vivier one. But in all honesty I think people with different skin types just gravitate towards their favorite vit C serum brand. So you'll find that there are quite a few regular users of CellularSkinRX, Vivier, SC, and Cellex-C (at least) here. As Betterat40 mentioned, CellularSkinRX does take PayPal. I don't think EDS does. But I have come across (I think ) some sites that had Skinceuticals and took PayPal as well. |

I believe it is definitely about skintypes. I have oily skin, and I find the Vivier serum oily for me. I think it will come in handy though in a couple of months when winter sets in - that's when I have dry skin. |

Thanks a lot everyone. I ordered from Cellular Skin rx!
Im really worried about these spots though. Could it be related to the retin-a? Ive never had these stay for so long (at least 2 months)
