I'm actually talking about "Orlane B21 Energic Absolute Anti-Fatigue Absolute Skin Recovery Concentrate - Intensive Care for Eyes" which is probably the most ridiculously long product name ever
Seeing as I was on a roll last night with all the masks etc, I decided that if I was going to have a mask on for ten minutes I might as well use an eye mask and lie down and relax during that time. I reached for my usual Thalgo one (it's good but I'm not too crazy about the scent so I'm looking for something else to buy when I finish this off) but then I remembered that I have the Orlane eye patches.
What you actually get is a vial of clear gel that you apply under each eye and then apply the patches over the gel. The gel comes in a pump pack and the pairs of patches are individually packaged and pre-moistened (not sure with what sorry). So, with my Babor mask already on the rest of my face, I applied the gel under my eyes and gently tapped it in, and then applied the moist pads. The pads look like they're made from linen by the way and they are contoured to fit just under the eye area and a little bit to the side as well.
I left these on for ten minutes (felt nice and cool!) and when I took them off my eyes did feel very refreshed. These are quite pricey (you get 10 pairs of patches) but thay are nice when you're super tired or going out for a special occasion. What I didn't like about this product was that I think it actually tries to tighten up the eye area a little bit - that's what I felt after I took off the patches. The area was hydrated but it also felt like it had been a bit pulled together. This might be good for someone with perhaps a bit of puffiness or sagging (I hate to use that word!) but on me it felt a bit weird.

I was just looking at those one EDS last night. I had not looked at Orlane products for ages, but while I was looking through I spotted a cream and thought, hey, I bought that once.. but I dont remember using it.. THEN I remembered that after like 1 use I dropped the bottle and smashed it.
Hmm.. Mabsy, they sound nice, but at what, $110 or something for 10 uses.. I dont think you had enough "rave" to convince me to get them.
I have been using the Estee Lauder anti stress eye masks.. they feel nice, but dont really do anything super wonderful.
I would love a good eye mask to use when doing the rest of my face. |

Tiger_Tim - I agree with you on the price tag. These ARE expensive and I would only use them very *very* occasionally. In fact, I don't see myself purchasing this until I actually feel that my eye area could do with some tightening up (hopefully not for a while ). For what it's worth, I think the actual gel will last more than 10 uses - it's just that you only get 10 pairs of pads. |
