i just want to warn other people here in nz who may buy anything from their retail shops. Even though their clothes are expensive their customer service sucks and all they after is getting your money, after that its more like too hell with you.
My experience...i bought a dress from there particularly to wear for my graduation day (which is a event that doesnt happen everyday for anyone). anyway needless to say i could not wear the dress as I went to hang it the night before and check if it needs ironing, i found at the back of the dress the seams were undone so a hole was visible. I returned the dress within 7 days as per their receipt, unworn....and i could not wear it to my graduation either. i requested a refund,as the event has gone by, the dress was not fit for the purpose which i bought it for at the time of purchase and also faulty.
the retail store dint give me a refund and send my query to head office. the manager there dint issue a refund either, but repaired the dress and sent it back with a letter. Again I was not happy as when i pay $160 for a dress i expect a brand new dress without faults and i expect to be able to wear to the event i bought it for. I called them to discuss but to no end.
on top of this the repair process pulled the thread in the fabric of the dress so i took it back again this time with a letter. They sent it back to the head office. I also called them a few times and the manager was like she will get back to me. Anyway what do i see in my mail in the weekend, not a fone call, not a email to discuss the issue with me but they sent the dress back to me with a letter saying they cannot refund and have right to repair. They must have ironed it and stretchd the fabric so now it doesnt look like its pulled.
So i sent another letter as weekend they are closed at the head office cause no one would answer the phone and i sent a fax. Again the operations manager replied to my email. saying she apologizes but they have right to repair but their choice to issue a refund but for minor issues they dnt have to.
But i feel this is not a minor issue, firstly i could not use it for the purpose i bought it for which is a one of big time event in anyone's life. Secondly noone would pay full price $160 for a faulty product, had i known it was faulty i would not have paid for it. Thirdly bad practice on their part....and i dint pay much attention to it at the time of purpose but when i tried to check the dress properly the store assistant rushed me into paying and saying oh dont worry there shudnt be any problems and you can always bring it back. Now this rings alarm bells to me now? Did she already know it was faulty and tried to sell it to me? This whole process has been going on for 30 days and more since the first time i returned it back.
Anyway my point is I think im entitled to the refund but they wont issue it, this is so distressing, and also taking up so much time. I mean i am there calling them from work and writing the letters on top of having to go back to the store each time to return it. I really think I should get the refund.
so people dont buy anything from this store cause if there is a problem with their product they will not follow their duty and do whats right! |
