Just wondering what everyones skin care routine is nowadays. I know we all purchase new things from time to time so mine usually changes frequently, but here's the products I have been using. Some of them I've been using only a couple of months and some for quite some time. Will probably change again considering colder weather is on its way, but I'll be reluctant because this has worked well for me.
AM:
*Eucerin Pore Purifying or Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleanser
*Straight ACV Toner
*Rx Finacea Gel
*Alternate between Prevage & SkinMedica Vit C Complex
*Eye Cream varies on needs. I have so many, but here's my favs - Perricone Alpha Lipoic/Dr Brandt Lineless/ROC Correxion/Amore Pacific Vitalizing or Contour Lift/Reviva DMAE & Alpha Lipoic Acid Eye Serum
*SS Varies - LRP Dermo-Ped SPF 60/LRP Anthelios Fluide Extreme SPF 40/DHC White SPF 25
PM:
*DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (sunscreen and makeup removal)
*Amore Pacific Treatment Cleansing Soap
*(3X per week)Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant or Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel
*DDF 10% Glycolic Toner
*Rx Tazorac .1% Retinoid (use around my eyes at night so no need for eye cream)
I don't normally use a moisturizer, but if I feel like I need one I use either Eucerin Daily Control & Care Moisturizer or Kiss My Face Alpha and Aloe Oil Free Moisturizer. I also get Botox about 3 times per year on my crows feet.
As I look back on my routine I realize there is ALOT of exfoliation going on! My skin loves it!

AM
1. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel (I don't know why they call this 'special'. I don't see anything special about it apart from the fact that it doesn't cause acne or dryness on my skin. I'm using it only because I happen to have a large pump bottle of it - bought when I was in the 'Dermalogica phase' and wanted everything Dermalogica, if you can imagine that at all )
2. Dermalogica Multi-active toner (to make my boosters and moisturiser go a long, long way)
3. Dermalogica Hydrating Booster
4. Bioxil Circle Vanish OR Bobbi Brown Eye Cream
5. Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream
6. Avene Extreme Sun Block Fluid SPF60 OR Dermalogica Solar Defense Booster SPF 30 (I prefer Avene these days)
PM
1. Remove eye make up with the Body Shop's Chamomile Eye Makeup Remover - cheap and effective
2. Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution
3. DHCC (homemade)
4. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel
5. Dermalogica Microfoliant
6. Dermalogica Multi-active Toner or ACV toner
7. Bioxil Circle Vanish or Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Balm
8. Eve Taylor Face Oil No. 3 (purifying, for when I have the occasional zit)
OR
8. Dermalogica Skin Renewal or Hydrating Booster
9. Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream
I use Dermalogica's Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask twice a week, and Vitamin C mask every couple of days.
So far this routine works for me. Great topic, would love to know what other people do. |

AM:
PSF Papaya Cleansing Gel
PSF: Botox Wrinkle Relax (at times)
PSF Eye Lift
PSF Vitamin C Serum
(sunscreen)
PM: PSF Papaya Cleansing Gel (sometimes use their Green Tea Cleanser)
PSF: Oxygen Serum
PCA Skincare - sometimes use Clearskin
PSF: Eye Lift
Palmer's Skin Success Hydroquinone cream (oily skin formula)
African American, age 55, slightly oily skin
My skin looks great. I really like the PSF products even though I've only been using them a short time. I had almost given up on skincare after a terrible experience with Philosophy and PCA skin care products. The hydroquinone cream has evened out my skin remarkably well without causing any irritation. |

AM
Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Cleanser
Neutrogena Deep Wrinkle Eye Cream
Neutrogena Anti Wrinkle Anti Blemish Cream Awesome stuff...it has totally cleared my skin)
Juice Organic Serum
Juice Organics Moisturizer Light Tint SPF 30 (just started using this...LOVE IT). IT goes good over my neutrogena b/c it kinda dries my skin.
PM
Juice Organics Nourshing Cleanser (Awesome...only been using this a couple of days)
Or
Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil then Neutro Acne Wash
Juice Organics Serium
Proactive Lightening Cream on acne scars
Neutrogena Anti Wrinkle Anti Blemish
Vasaline on eyes and lips
Weekly
Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel
Neutrogena 60 sec mask scrub
Side note: This is the clearest it has been in a long time. Usually when I start using a product my face clears a little bit then I write a rave then my skin goes back to breaking out. I think my clear skin is due to the neutragena anti wrinkle anti blemish cream...I noticed a difference in the feel and look of my skin right away...the tube is almost gone so I would say it has been about a month of using it and NO breakouts! |

Oh man,I feel like I have such a bare bones routine compared with everyone else!
PM:
*Use generic cleanser to wash off eye makeup
*OCM (50/50 CO and EVOO with lemon and ylang ylang EOs)
*ACV toner (sometimes)
*Aqua Glycolic Face Cream
AM:
*Rinse face with warm water
*ACV toner (sometimes)
*PSF Vitamin C serum (currently using the lower concentration)
Once a week I'll use Korres Olive Stones for exfoliating. I was doing the aspirin mask a few times a week but have been slacking recently.
This routine is going to change up a bit as my Clarisonic face brush is on the way... I have a feeling OCM will not be able to fit in anymore ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

ooops, really? I didn't want to apply it over my vit.c. I don't know why. I guess I just thought I would use one active in morning, one at night. Anybody else have any thoughts on this. I don't want to do it wrong. Thanks |

Tue May 02, 2006 4:43 pm |
oops I think we better call betterat40 since she's the CSRx expert around here
What I know is, the refinising serum helps the vitamin c be absorbed better.
But your right about mixing actives, it's just that I use tretinoin at nite too ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |
