(Stationary p0rn, that is hehe…) my latest purchases besides my favourite black, orange and turquoise Pilot G2 gel pens (and the red, of course, for marking): purple and pink!!!

I've just recently discovered these - they write so smoothly and have acid free ink and are inexpensive and I love them to bits. They even come with matching mechanical pencils! Cool

These and the funky orange and purple V Board Master Wyteboard markers make me want to teach all the time haha. Laughing

Okay thanks for looking (and indulging my passion for trivia). My name is pumpingmummy and I’m behaving just like my eight-year-old… Embarassed

I’m upset. Sad No, I refuse to let this upset me.

I should keep things to myself next time. I sent this in an email to a friend and she said ‘you’re sad’. I asked why, and she said I like the weirdest things and that I needed help (no she didn't sound like she was joking).

I need help because because I like stationery? Confused

I don’t understand. Sure it’s not something you’d expect a 39 year-old to like things like colourful pens that cost 4.90(MYR)each but how is that different from her liking food or shoes or bags? And at least these pens are put to good use, I don’t just collect them!

Oyh I should start a blog. Thanks for listening all.

Neutral

Anyways anyone else like 'weird' things like me? What do you collect?

p/s I'm NEVER telling her how many blushes I have. She'll think I'm even sicker... Rolling Eyes

I like your pens. They are very positive/happy vibe colors and they made me smile.
I think that if you can get pleasure from the small things in life, you are not a sad person at all, but a positive one.
My hubby loves pens, but he writes all day and he is always on the lookout for smooth, comfortable and recognizable ones. I'll pass them on.
Thanks for sharing!
Smile

Thank you Annie, I feel a lot better today. Smile I do indeed find pleasure in small things and I think that that's what keeps me resilient in trying times.

Hey hope your hubby likes the pens, everyone I've introduced them to seem to like them. They come in less funky colours like hunter green and navy, too.

I like your pens, too! All those happy colors made me want to go out and buy some, LOL! Like AnnieR's husband, I'm always on the lookout for smooth, comfortable pens. I get a bit territorial about them, too!

I don't understand why your interest in these pens would be sad. How jaded if your friend cannot see the simple pleasure in this.

Ok... I have a share... I used to work in the Corporate Offices of Restoration Hardware. When the company was very small. And so, I got to see ALL the behind the scenes stuff... Well, when they started to design all the drawings and such that you might see on their walls, the artist brought in a PILE of papers. Textured, colored, multiples wts. etc. She and one of the buyers would oooohhh and ahhhhhh everything. At first, I thought they were nuts... but slowly. I was drawn in. Ohhhh How I wish I had the talent to do ANYTHING with those papers.

I then later admitted to my husband how much I love all the office supplies. Colored paper clips, pens, different PAPER, you name it. It hadn't occurred to me but one of my favorite games as a child was playing office. OMG.... He thinks I'm crazy.

Let's just say he was not the least bit surprised when last week the whole family went to Target. I sent him to the toy section with the boys, and I went to the school supply section. It's HUGE right now... and must have poured over the supplies wishing my kids were old enough to buy all these goodies for. The pee chees, the school calendars, the post its. the cool locker organizers.

I finally justified purchasing 18 pks. of 24 count crayolas ($.27/EACH) FOR valentines.

So I don't think you're weird at all... maybe a little nerdly like me... LOL!

But ladies... I can not DRAG my husband out of stores like Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma and the like. OK... he's a chef, and OMG, just how many knives do you need???? LOL! Surely they aren't as cool as post its!

Wish I had seen this yesterday just to let you know you're not alone! I have a huge pen obsession! My husband doesn't understand it and I think it annoys him because even when I don't like them I can't throw them away.

I didn't have very good luck with the Pilots (even though I desperately wanted to). I'm a lefty and I write at funny angles so I often have trouble finding gel pens that flow well for me. Smearing them is a problem too. My current love are the Staedtler Maxum Gel pens - they are metallic! I by them in a 10 pack (I think) from Staples.

http://www.staedtler-usa.com/maxum_gel_us.Staedtler

I can't find an exact picture for the ones I have (hoping they haven't been discontinued). Their ballpoint pens are also really bold, great colors and write smoothly but I used the purple to journal and the ink bled after a few months (it's now more pink with halos). Not good for scrapbooking but great for leaving notes on post-its around the house!

I've been obsessed with stationary since I was a kid - school shopping was my favorite time of year. Yesterday I was shopping and I saw a girl about 8 years old picking out a new backpack and I was slightly jealous (if only I could go back to those simple days).

And I think you're totally normal! (We all are on here with our pen and moisturizer obsessions and lord knows what else!) Very Happy

I'm a teacher and one of my friends goes absolutely wild in stationary shops - seriously, I have to restrain her.

Ooooooh you ladies are super, super awesome! Thank you sooo much I knew there'd be more people like me on here Laughing

I can SO relate to the coolness of Post-Its and going wild in stationery shops. And I'm really glad I'm a teacher - I have an excuse to really use all this cool stuff!

Cough cough that said I do have cough cough a collection of pretty notebooks I'll never fill in because they're just too damn purty! cough cough cough

Ooh want to see!!! What kind did you get? One of my friends uses a Moleskine notebook which although is nice isn't something I'd pay to have - it's ridiculously pricey!

I've been eyeing this floral fabric covered notebook that SO matches my purple and pink gel pens that I think I'm going to cave and buy soon - if I don't get another blush that is... Laughing

My hubby also collects pens from places everywhere we go. If we have to sign ANY papers, bank, insurance, car dealer, you name it, he wants one of their pens. Ha always asks and as part of the deal, we have to take home the pen. I have a drawer full of them!

I can't believe it! I had a lemming for the Kokuyo Capara pencil cases to house and carry around my many pens but buying one online and getting it shipped from the US is too much money on shipping alone (which costs more than the product itself) and then I found out Kokuyo had an office in Malaysia and then I called them up well to cut a long story short they said that they stock it and okay we'll give you a special discount! So instead of paying nearly 40.00USD (13.50 + 25.00 p&p) for ONE pencil case I'm getting two at 20.00 USD!

I'm in heaven. Very Happy

Not to stray off topic but those cases would be perfect makeup cases for traveling! I could put my brushes in the bottom and all the makeup in the top! I need one! Ok.... 2 or 3, one for makeup, one for pens and I'm sure I'll find a use for the other one as soon as I close this window.... Very Happy

Thought I'd share this: my very own Kokuyo Caparas and my fav/most used pens inside! Picked them up this afternoon. Sorry about the poor pic quality, though - these were taken with my phone camera. IRL they look just as they are pictured on the JetPens website. Cool
