Hi  ....I was wondering if anyone could help me with some skin issues I've been having lately. I'm 43 years old and have had pretty good skin, it can be extremely sensitive when using fragrance and other irritants, so I tend to stay away from that sort of thing. I haven't been using anything new, and all my face (with the exception of my forehead) is clear. For some strange reason I have been breaking out in cystic acne only on the forehead region and really can't understand why. I've been using scrubs, cleansing well, and using acne treatments to no avail....does anyone have any suggestions what could be causing this or any remedies? Thanks! |

Have you changed your hairstyle and/or wear bangs? That is the only thing I can think of for the acne only on the forehead!

"SALT TREAMENT:
The salt treatment has made a huge difference in controlling my acne and its the only topical I currently use for it. I have always used salt deodorant crystal and one night when I was putting it on it occurred to me that pimples are a combination of bacteria, inflammation and dead skin cells. The salt deodorant crystal works by creating a high salinity slick that dries and prevents bacteria from growing there. The light bulb went on, so I cautiously used it on a cluster of pimples and the next morning they were flatter and much less red. That weekend, I used it every couple hours and before I went to bed and by Monday my skin had almost cleared up." |

Thanks rileygirl...thats interesting...salt treatment eh? Never heard of that one before, will have to try it out! Yes I do wear bangs, have all my life so I don't know why it would start causing problems now...all I can think of is that maybe its hormonal? I had the mirena iud put in over 2 months ago and I hate the stupid thing....been spotting ever since...do you maybe think thats the problem? Thanks for your speedy reply!  |

| Well, it was worth a guess for the bangs! I am sure it could be hormonal! I am sure more users will come along to give their input! As far as attaching a picture, you need to use photobucket or something similar and then paste the img code into the message. |
