I recently saw this and thought it would be just the thing to help my sensitive skin/ acne prone skin through the winter. The ingredients looked like they would be hydrating without clogging my pores, and I loved that honey and honey enzymes were some of the main ingredients since it seemed like it help prevent/heal acne too. It's often dangerous to put so many expectations on a new product, but this one came through and in just a few short weeks has been elevated to holy grail status.
This serum is INCREDIBLY hydrating, and it sinks right into my skin. On normal days I actually wear it as a stand-alone moisturizer, and on dry days it layers perfectly under my regular moisturizer. It also layers well on my other new Arcona find: Arcona Chamomile Balm. Everything about this serum makes it a joy to use--- the hygenic pump bottle, the silky texture, and of course, the light honey fragrance. Not only has it not caused any break outs, it actually helped heal up a few existing break outs. I love this stuff so much, I already ordered another bottle for back-up.
Here is the official description from the packaging:
Skin hydrator rescues dehydrated and depleted skin by replenishing lipids lost in aging, stress and environmental damage. Attract and bind moisture to skin with hyaluronic acid, a powerful natural hydrator. Nourish and protect skin with healing Manuka honey, rich in vitamins, minerals and amino acids that assist cellular regeneration. Lock in moisture to maximize the benefits of a daily hydrating regimen, for a healthier, more youthful complexion.
Like all products in ARCONA's skin therapy regimen, Hydrating Serum is cosmeceutically formulated with pure, natural ingredients, cold-pressed in small batches to keep them fresh, active and super-effective. For optimal results, we recommend using this product within six months of opening. change may be immediately noticeable; however, full benefits are derived as skin is brought into balance by regular use.
And here are the ingredients:
Agua (Distilled Water), Sodium Hyaluronate, Honey Extract, Honey Enzymes, Phospholipids, Sodium Lactate, Glycerine, Na PCA, Essential Oils, Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citrus Grandis)
I purchased this at Beauty.com for $38 for 1 oz. I would highly recommend it as a stand-alone moisturizer for oily/acne prone girls, as well as a serious moisture-booster for people for deal with dry/sensitive skin. |

Its like you read my mind! I've been looking for a hydrating serum. I've grudgingly realised that the red in my cheeks is due to a lack of hydration (not moisture) and have been looking for the HG solution. How long have you been using this? When did you notice the effects, and have they continued to live up to your expectations? |

Yes, I have the SuperHydrating Gel from GOW.
Ingred:
Dist water, tamarind seed extract, yeast extract, sodium PCA, Hyaluronic acid (bio-engineered), optiphen.
It's a thin, slippery, clear, odorless gel-serum. I use it on damp skin and then apply a moisturizer or oil or SS over it. It's nice, but I don't reach for it that much. |

Thanks for the review. I have used up the serum that came with my Baby Quasar and need to start looking for a replacement (or reorder the serum from BQ). I wonder if this is something I can use with my BQ. |
