Pycnogenol (maritime pine bark extract)
Anyone have experience using this? It's supposed to be 20 x'x more powerful than vit. c and 50 x's more powerful than vit. e
I know that dermae uses this in some of their products, they seem to have a nice line and are reasonably priced
Is this the same active that is in grapeseed oil?
Thanks,

Elysee makes a pycnogenol serum, touted for firming. I've tried it & found it to be quite drying unless paired with a moisturizing serum. They instruct you to top any other serums with the pycnogenol, prior to moisturizer. |

I take pycnogenol supplements, because I have found them to be a great natural remedy for hot flashes. |

I used pycnogenol in Elysee products for several months and I did not notice any changes in my skin. It could have been the amounts or the brand rather than the pycnogenol. HTH |

It's a strong antioxidant if taken orally. There is no research showing that it works the same when applied topically. |

I have been taking it orally for about a year...it is definitely recommended by a number of skin experts including Perricone, but as a supplement (not topical). |
