Posting another positive review for this product which totally hydrated my skin when I've started using SC C+AHA. It is a slightly sticky clear gel that is nonfragranced. I've gotten used to the using the dropper that comes with it. A big bonus is that it didn't cause any breakouts. |

I'm quite interested in trying this product. My skin is quite dehydrated due to my appalling ability to drink fluids. I sometimes only manage 1-2 drinks during 24 hours.
Is it suitable for all skin types? I've read on MUA that it is quite sticky upon application. Does the stickiness eventually disappear? I'm wondering if it will cause problems as a base for make-up. |

Hi Toe! I have combination skin with oily T zones and didn't find this product overly stickly. I apply if after C+AHA and phyto+ Because it is a humectant, I find I need a smaller amount of moisturiser. I normally use sunscreen (shiseido extra smooth sun protection which leaves a really matte finish) before putting on a tinted moisturiser w/ spf or foundation and have not had any problems. No breakouts as well. I think this is a necessary product for use with C+AHA which dried out my skin so much so that I've already bought 2 bottles |

A slightly different response. When I first started using SC C+E and the B5 gel my aesthetician thought my skin looked awful, very dry. I started using a moisturizer, either instead of the gel or on top of it. When I went back last week she said my skin looked much better. So for me the B5 gel was not enough hydration given that I am using the Vit c. |

I've not used the gel on it's own as a moisturiser but always with the Vit.c serum or as a booster to whatever else I'm using. I find this range suits me much better than the Cellex which I found DID flake when I applied my make-up.
If you have any problems with that Toe may I suggest you use the B5 at night rather than as a day product.
Toe - I have used the Liz Earle line serum which is B5/grapeseed etc which can be used as a light moisturiser, only problem is it is expensive for the small dispenser you get. Round the eyes would be fine but the whole face - it wouldn't last long at all. |
