Hi there, I’m fairly new and wondered if any of you kind people could help me out with my skin care routine. I’d like to introduce some new anti aging products into my routine but don’t know which products and time of day they should be in.
I’m 39 and my skin is very dry with occasional stress related eczema. I don’t have many lines/wrinkles but the main ones are marionette lines. I’ve been very lucky with my skin but have to do more now to keep it looking good and I feel it’s a bit hit and miss. I prefer more natural products as if my skin gets over loaded with chemicals it gets very sensitive and aggravates my eczema.
My routine is:
AM
Emulator oil – skinactives (spend 10 mins massaging it in)
Clarins sunscreen spf 40
PM
Neal’s Yard Rose cleanser
Green Tea toner (my own diy)
Lets make collagen – skinactives
Emulator oil
Weekly asprin mask followed by Aveda hydrating mask
I’d really like to introduce retinol, vit C and glycolic acid into my routine to brighten my skin and keep the lines at bay. I’m also in need of an eye cream that lifts but it needs to be chemical free as my eczema flares up round my eyes.
Am I asking the impossible to have the anti aging effect with chemical free products that don’t irritate my dry sensitive skin?
Please help……I’m getting desperate! |

Well whatever products you choose to add in, your retinol product usually goes on at night and is usually what you put on first after cleansing your skin. The C product would go on in the morning, again usually the first thing on after cleansing your skin. You could add in the glycolic acid just a few days a week. |

Considering your skin is dry and sensitive, you should be extremely careful with retinol and AHA treatments, I think.
Glycolic acid together with retinol may be too harsh, so maybe you could use them in different nights--both of them had better be used in the evening.
As for products, I guess Avene Eulage cream perhaps will meet you demand, since it's a mild retinol treatment. If possible, ask for a sample to try.
Good luck! |

Chantecaille has a retinol treatment and people on mua claim that this one is mildest they have ever used. However,it's much more expensive than other retinol products. |
